🔍 跟住classification key，一步步破解植物分類!🌿 今次我哋嚟到 French International School 另一個校園，同同學繼續探索植物世界嘅奧秘！我哋帶備四款植物：苔蘚、蕨類、松果同開花植物，引導同學跟住「classification key」一步步推理：有冇真正嘅根莖葉？靠孢子定種子繁殖？由問題出發，親手拆解科學家分類植物嘅邏輯 🧠 之後大家手持放大鏡觀察細節，再「draw like a scientist」將所見記錄喺畫紙上，個個都專注投入！喺戶外真實嘅植物面前學習，知識變得立體又生動。呢份親手探索嘅好奇心,正正就係科學學習最好嘅起點 💚 🔍 Following the classification key, cracking plant classification step by step! This time we headed to another French International School campus to continue exploring the plant world with students! As always, this food-and-farming session was tailor-made to fit the school's curriculum 🌱 We brought four types of plants: moss, fern, pinecone and flower, and guided students through a classification key step by step: Does it have true roots, stems and leaves? Does it reproduce by spores or seeds? Starting from the questions, they worked out the logic scientists use to classify plants 🧠 Then, magnifying glasses in hand, they observed the fine details and "drew like scientists," recording what they saw. Every one of them focused and engaged! 🌱 由課堂理論到落手實戰，一次過掌握種植要訣!🌿 先喺室內深入淺出講解種植知識，由有機肥料嘅應用(雞糞肥、骨粉等NPK配搭)，到植物生長所需嘅各種養分，大家聽得全神貫注 📖 學完理論，即刻移師戶外落手實戰！參加者親手將幼苗移植入種植箱,學識點樣鬆土、落苗、淋水，將啱啱吸收到嘅知識即學即用🪴 城市種植從來唔係遙不可及，只要踏出第一步，人人都可以種出屬於自己嘅一片綠意 💚 🌱 From classroom theory to hands-on practice, mastering the essentials of growing! This workshop was packed and practical. We started indoors with an accessible breakdown of growing know-how, from organic fertiliser application (chicken manure, bone meal and their NPK ratios) to the nutrients plants need to thrive. Everyone was fully focused 📖 With the theory covered, it was straight outdoors to get hands-on! 🌿 化身小小植物學家，探索植物嘅分類!🔬 好開心今次特別按學校課程，將植物分類帶到真實嘅大自然當中 📖 我哋準備咗四款唔同類型嘅植物：苔蘚、蕨類、松果同開花植物，帶領同學認識科學家點樣為植物分類 🌱 大家手持放大鏡仔細觀察，再用紙筆描繪細節，將葉脈、孢子、種子等細節一一記錄喺畫紙上，全程投入又專注！由觀察到繪畫，親手探索植物世界嘅多樣性，呢份求知嘅喜悅，正正就係 「let nature be your teacher」💚 🌿 Becoming little botanists, exploring the secrets of plant classification! We were delighted to tailor-made these activities to fit the school's curriculum, bringing classroom knowledge to life out in nature 📖 We brought four different types of plants: moss, fern, pinecone and flower, to explore how scientists classify the plant kingdom 🌱 Magnifying glasses in hand, students observed closely and then "drew like scientists," recording details like veins, spores and seeds on paper, fully focused and engaged throughout! 🌿 從理論到實戰，一齊種好時令菜 🌱 今次有機耕種活動特別充實，先喺室內講解理論，再去田箱實戰！由認識苦瓜修剪到授粉嘅技巧，到利用廚餘，例如橙皮同堅果渣做酵素，大家聽得津津有味📖 原來一條苦瓜嘅背後，都有咁多技巧 💪🏽 之後同街坊移師戶外，親手照料種植箱入面嘅幼苗，大家圍埋一齊觀察、交流，將啱啱學到嘅知識即學即用，滿滿都係收穫💚 由課堂到田間，呢份親手實踐嘅成就感，正正就係城市耕種最迷人嘅地方 🫶🏽👩🏾‍🌾 🌿 From theory to hands-on practice. Learning to grow seasonal veggies together! This organic farming workshop was especially rewarding. We started with theory indoors, then headed straight out to the field! From bitter melon pruning to hand-pollination, everyone was hooked 📖 Who knew there was so much to learn behind a single bitter melon! Then the group moved outdoors to tend the seedlings in the planters by hand. Gathering round to observe and swap notes, everyone put their new knowledge straight to use. 🌿 一人一大紮，紅莧菜大豐收!🌾 週末喺錦綉花園舉行嘅收成日活動，令商場客戶們笑逐顏開。由我哋悉心打理嘅錦綉農莊，今造紅莧菜生長得又靚又茂盛，紅綠交錯，滿滿一大片😍 參加者當日落手落腳，親自採收滿載而歸，仲一邊交流種植心得，超熱鬧。由播種、育苗到日常照料，每一步都由我哋團隊用心跟進，只為收成日，同商場客戶分享親手採收嘅喜悅💚 一塊社區農圃，種出嘅唔止係新鮮蔬菜，更係鄰里之間嘅笑聲同連結 🌱 期待下次收成日，同大家農莊再見!🌻 🌿 An armful each — a bumper red amaranth harvest! Today's harvest day at Fairview Park had neighbours beaming from the planters we tend with care, this season's red amaranth grew lush and beautiful, a gorgeous tangle of red and green 😍 Participants rolled up their sleeves to harvest handfuls to take home, swapping growing tips as they went. What a lively afternoon! From sowing and raising seedlings to everyday care, every step is looked after by our team. All so that on harvest day, we can share the joy of hand-picking with neighbours 💚 A little community farm grows more than fresh vegetables. 🌱 一堂落手落腳嘅種植課，由播種開始!🌿 好開心嚟到恒大綠延書院同同學展開一場種植體驗! 由除草、施基肥、翻土、到播種移苗，大家都全神貫注、落手落腳投入其中👩‍🌾🌾 種植箱喺綠延書院門外排開，由播種嗰一刻起，同學唔止學識種植技，更親身感受生命成長嘅過程 🌍 呢個小花園，將會成為大家日常放鬆嘅好去處。期待接下嚟嘅日子，同同學一齊見證幼苗茁壯成長，收穫屬於自己嘅一片綠意💚 🌱 A hands-on growing lesson, starting from the very first seed! We were thrilled to guide students through their planting session at Evergreen College at HSU! From learning the art of replanting to transplanting seedlings into the boxes with their own hands, everyone was fully focused and hands-on 👩‍🌾🌾 Rows of planters now line outside the entrance of evergreen college, and from the moment the first seed goes in, students gain more than growing know-how. 🌱 天台上嘅第一堂課，由一棵幼苗開始!🌿 好開心為學校喺天台設置適合小朋友嘅免彎腰種植箱，一排排整齊排列好，承載住小朋友對耕種嘅好奇同期待 👦🏻👧🏼🧒🏽 落成第一日，小農夫們已經迫不及待圍埋一齊，聽住點樣照顧幼苗、認識唔同嘅蔬菜香草🌾 喺石屎森林中間，呢片小小嘅綠洲唔止係種植空間，更係一個活生生嘅課室，小朋友喺度學識耐性、責任感，亦都親身感受食物由種子到餐桌嘅奇妙旅程🌍 由播種嗰一刻開始，一段關於成長嘅故事，就悄悄展開 🌱 期待見證佢哋一日一日，同啲幼苗一齊茁壯成長 💚 🌱 The first lesson on the rooftop begins with a single seedling! 🌿 We were delighted to set up a row of elevated planters for children on this school's rooftop, neatly lined up and full of the children's curiosity and anticipation 👦🏻👧🏼🧒🏽 On day one, the young farmers were already gathering round, eager to learn how to care for seedlings and get to know all the different vegetables and herbs 🌾 In the middle of the concrete jungle, this little green oasis is more than a growing space, it's a living classroom, where children learn patience and responsibility, and experience first-hand the wonderful journey of food from seed to table 🌍 From the moment the first seed goes in, a story about growing quietly begins 🌱 We can't wait to watch them thrive, day by day, right alongside their seedlings 💚 #schoolgarden #食農教育 #urbanfarming #sustainablecampus by @growsomethinghk
