🎭 GROW THROUGH PLAY 🎭

- A Guided Improv Playshop -

What if play was the missing piece in your personal growth journey?

For me, improv has become so much more than performance — it’s a life practice. A way to meet the unknown with trust. A way to laugh through fear, loosen the grip of overthinking, and reconnect with presence, creativity, and joy.

Grow Through Play is an immersive, in-person workshop where I’ll be guiding you — alongside my brilliant friend Brent Pella — through the deeper lenses of improvisation as a path for growth and transformation.

Through interactive exercises, group games, and moments of reflection, we’ll explore how to:
• Stay grounded in chaos
• Trust your instincts
• Release control
• Play with the moment
• Let your inner child speak

This isn’t about being funny (though you’ll probably laugh a lot). It’s about rediscovering that the same energy we use to make people laugh can also help us heal, connect, and grow.

If you’re feeling called to loosen up, tune in, and explore life with a little more spontaneity and freedom — I’d love to have you with us.

Last month, we turned awkward silences into moments of brilliance.

This Saturday June 14th at 2pm, we’re diving deeper — embracing the chaos, finding clarity in the unexpected, and laughing at ourselves along the way.

Ready to improvise your way to insight? Let’s make the unplanned unforgettable ✌️🐒

This is the mission statement 🫡

It’s my “why” and my “what”.

The most accessible art form is at the tip of your fingers and in the palm of your hand. All it takes is awareness and willingness.

We are all improvisers improvising this big scene we call “existence.”

I had a great time discussing the philosophy of improv with my brother and sis @aubreymarcus and @vylana on the @aubreymarcuspodcast. We even do some games at the end! Check it out on Spotify or YouTube :) taken in Earth by @growthroughplay.improv

✨ NEW: Grow Through Play — 9 Week Improv Immersion ✨

I’ve been developing this course for years, and I’m so excited to finally share it — and even more excited to be partnering with AWKN Ranch to bring it to life.

This is a 9-week improv immersion for a small group of up to 14 people, diving deeper into listening, connection, relationship, playcraft, creativity, and the principles of improvisation as a practice for being human.

We’ll learn, play, grow, and build something meaningful together—culminating in a public showcase at AWKN Ranch.

And we’re already more than half full. This one is going to fill up. 🌿

If you’ve been curious about improv, or just want to reconnect with your sense of play, I’d love to have you with us.

More info and registration is available on my website (link in bio)

Fun fact: No one actually knows what the f** they’re doing. Every one of us is improvising this human experience.

Improv is a strange mirror for life. There’s no script or perfect response. It’s all channeling your authentic expression in the presence.

You have to LISTEN, trust what comes through, commit to it and go ALL the way. Half-in doesn’t work.

The second you start judging yourself from outside yourself, the moment is already gone.

I had the pleasure of jumping on stage for a spontaneous improv set with my brother Joshua Draper @truejoshuadraper, who’s been practicing this craft for 10+ years with @growthroughplay.improv

Two days earlier, I’d given a talk about conscious creation @icelandeclipse — speaking your truth online, dropping the character you think people want to see AND using digital expression / phone in your hand to create DEEP experiences in the physical world.

Just presence, wit, listening, movement, ridiculousness and trusting whatever wanted to come through next. No prep needed.

This entire week in Iceland has felt like that.

Crossing paths and creating around humans like @alexgreycosm, @reggiewatts, our homie @brentpella and so many wildly expressive people has reminded me that creativity isn’t always something you need to THINK your way into.

Sometimes “THINKING” is exactly what blocks it.

Listen fully. Respond honestly. Commit to the moment. Risk looking ridiculous.

Whether you’re improvising on stage, making content, having a conversation, dancing or building something with another human…

the magic happens when you stop watching yourself perform and actually do the thing. Contribute!

More experiments, collaborations & improv with Joshua coming — maybe at my crib @maestrovalley in January 👀

We are creating more spaces where nobody knows exactly what’s about to happen…

On my way to Iceland 🇮🇸 right now and feeling the vibes-portal!

This is such a special culmination of so many pieces of my life at once! I can’t believe this is real!

First, I’m honored to be included in the solar eclipse ceremony with @iunify on August 12th - this will be live-streamed on the internet as a global prayer for peace ☮️

Then, on the 13th I’m bringing my signature improv jam @growthroughplay.improv to the Nordic family with the best co-host I could ask for @brentpella

Friday the 14th, I’m joining a one-of-kind musical collaboration with the @mi.mu.gloves team @annu__music @adamstarkmusic to perform an all ecompassing demonstration of the wearable MIDI technology - it’s a surprise so I can’t tell you all about it but @bloomurian and @moondropmusic are involved and that’s all I’ll say for now :) @imogenheap @bjork

Holy cow I’m on the airplane and they’re literally playing @incubus song “Dig” on the tarmac. This is destiny 🙏🙏👌👌✨✨ taken in Iceland by @growthroughplay.improv

The June improv jam at @awkn.ranch in Austin was one of the best yet! Had to be there 🫠

Thanks to co-host @brentpella and guest player @truthnowmusic for your inimitable gifts! Truly a special session.

Help me tag all the goofs in this video!

Also - heads up for later this year!

In October we are starting our first ever 9-week improv intensive course for those want to go deeper with the art form and the community.

Each week we will focus on one new piece of philosophy and practice exercises, culminating in a live performance at AWKN in the 9th week!

Sign ups are LIVE on my website now (link in bio) and we can only take 12 students! Register now to claim your spot this fall :) taken in AWKN Ranch ATX by @growthroughplay.improv
