None of us really know what we’re doing here on Earth - improv is The Art of Life.

I’m going to Iceland… what a dream. 🇮🇸✨

After traveling all over the world, this will actually be my first trip to Europe — something I’ve been holding sacred for a long time. And of course it’s to the land of the Vikings, during a once-in-a-century total solar eclipse.

I’m honored to be joining the celestial lineup at @icelandeclipse (Aug 11–15, 2026) — a rare convergence of music, art, science, wellness, and exploration at the edge of the world.

I’ll be bringing @growthroughplay.improv overseas once again with my brother @brentpella, hopefully sharing some sacred goofs with the homie @reggiewatts, and gathering with an incredible circle of @mi.mu.gloves artists including @annu__music and Imogen Heap to explore this mystical new musical tool. My musician alter ego @joshuabear.music is looking forward to another invocation with my brother @frankoheke.

This tribe is truly my ilk.

Capacity is limited to 3,333 Eclipse Seekers.
Passes are on sale now → **icelandeclipse.com**

🌿✨ I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be leading an epic improv workshop, @growthroughplay.improv, at Envision Festival next week! I’ll be in El Nido on February 24th at 1pm!

This workshop is perfect for the festival setting — when we’re out of default mode, open, and ready to explore. Practicing improv helps us connect with the present moment, get playful, and become more available for life itself. Also - it’s mega fun and you are going to goof your butt off.

I’ve been dreaming of attending Envision for years, and it feels so special to bring the gift of play and inner child work to Costa Rica.

I’m also beyond excited to be back in the jungle, by the ocean, surrounded by amazing people… and vibing to some reggae music! 🎶💚

What an auspicious adventure! ☄️💛

I said YES to a mysterious opportunity to visit the estate of @paulmsills and Carol Sills, Paul is the son of @violaspolin (mother of modern improv) and together they are the creators of modern Story Theater and the famous Second City theater company and training center.

I visited the community theater they built at the end of the their lives to carry on the message and tradition of the art form. I walked the halls of their library, read stage notes they scribbled on napkins, and basked in the paintings they created to keep their minds loose and malleable. I talked shop and shared stories with Rachel Sills, their daughter, for hours 🌊

I found out that I was asked to visit them on the one year anniversary of Carols passing. It was such a special time to reflect and praise.

I learned that Carol and Paul collected Native American artifacts, and studied myths and traditions from all ages and traditions in history. I also learned that Carol was into Peyote! Shhh hahaha.

At one point I found myself stunned when I noticed the original hand-dawn logo for the Story Theater… looked very familiar to the logo I made for @growthroughplay.improv! Similar colors, shapes, styles… Full body goosebumps.

Then, I discovered that the sisters have a training program called @everyone_can_improvise which teaches very adjacent tenants that I teach with my workshops.

It’s like I tripped and fell into a quantum nest of alignment!

Finally, I blessed the space with some improvised piano, channeling the spirit and influence of one of my mentors @daveashercoach.

I’m still sort of integrating it all, but I’m excited to deepen my understanding of the origins of this art from and bring it to my world. Looking forward to sharing more soon 👋
