In March 2024, we buried two jerseys. One synthetic. One GRVL.

Two years later, we came back.

The synthetic jersey was still intact. Still wearable. Still plastic. The GRVL jersey had returned to the earth.

This is the reality of cycling clothing.

We use natural fibres, designing for performance, durability and a lower environmental impact - not just on the ride, but after it.

Because if it doesn’t belong in nature, it doesn’t belong on the trail.

The light’s going earlier, the lanes are getting muddier and the gravel bike is officially due a deep clean 🍂

I’m not hanging up the outdoor kit, winter rides are some of my favourites. But on dark, wet weeknights it’s nice to have a plan B: shorter, focused sessions that still get the training done.

The coldest moment on a winter ride is usually at the top of a climb.

Spend the whole climb sweating into a jacket with nowhere for the moisture to go. Wind chill does the rest.

The answer is layers, not bulk. Base layer, merino jersey, gilet, jacket. Pieces you can move between as the route changes rather than one heavy layer you’re committed to from the car park. The gilet earns its place more than almost anything else: on for descents, packed away on climbs, takes up no space.

This time last month we were rolling south on the trails to Paris with our friends from @leadout.events.

4 days of brilliant riding bringing a new twist to the classic London to Paris adventure, just this version takes the road less travelled (quite literally in some places, some of the trails felt like they hadn’t been ridden for years).

We supported the riders and ride captains with custom event jerseys, based on our Merino x Tencell jersey which offered all day comfort and temperature regulation, and thankfully still smelt fresh after 4 days on the trails.

Postcards from the last of the summer gravel ☀️

Long light, warm dust, legs that still remember July.

We’re holding on to it for as long as it lasts, but you can feel autumn waiting in the wings as the nights begin to close in and mornings have a chill that hangs around a little longer.

Cooler mornings, quieter trails, a different kind of good.
