#appreciationpost❤️ Growing up in the sport of Judo, I’ve been lucky enough to have many different mentors. This gentleman was one of my first mentors outside of my own coach. Always looked after my brother and I on the road. We traveled to many countries, many US Teams and a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

Sensei Ed Liddie 1984 Olympic bronze medalist, coach at Olympic training center in Colorado Springs. If you know this man and his family, you are definitely lucky. Truly a special individual. Great seeing you this week. ❤️ taken in New York, New York by @gstleger

🥷 Behind every opponent is an opportunity… if you know where their weight is going! ⚖️💥

Don’t just attack the back—read the balance, find the weakness, and make gravity your training partner! 😂🎯

🥋 Failed throw? That’s your moment.

The second your opponent misses a throw, they think they’re in the clear. They’re relaxed, exposed, and on their way out. 😈

That’s when you strike. 🎯 This works especially well against turning throws, where they commit so hard that they leave their back open.

Stay patient, wait for the miss, and attack. 💥

**Missed throw = open door. 🚪🥋** Your opponent thinks they’re exiting safely. Hit them while they’re still turning. 💥

Enjoy 😎✌🏾

🇮🇹 A SPECIAL SEMINAR WITH OLYMPIC CHAMPION FABIO BASILE! 🥇

Another stellar seminar here at Kano Martial Arts!

From white belts to black belts, Fabio Basile demonstrated an incredible ability to teach, inspire, and connect with practitioners of every rank. His technical knowledge, attention to detail, and passion for Judo were on full display.

Beyond the techniques, Fabio shared powerful lessons on overcoming mental and physical challenges, the importance of professionalism, and what it truly means to be obsessed with your goals.

A masterclass in technique, mindset, discipline, and humility.

Thank you, Fabio, for sharing your knowledge and experience with our Kano family. We can’t wait to have you back on the mats!

Mutual benefit. Maximum effort. Always Kano. 🥋

Amazing display of athleticism at this past weekend’s Hungary grand slam. Beautiful technique executed Boyan Yotov of Bulgaria. Attacking opponent during a vulnerable moment.
