I’m the birthday ❤️🖤🎂 I’m so thankful to God for another year. He’s continued to show out in my life and for that I’m more than grateful. To be transparent, my birthday is usually a hard time for me because my biological family is so far away and it’s become harder since my friend who shared the same birthday passed, but God made sure to surround me with so much love and so many people who’ve become family to me. That’s the best birthday gift a girl can ask for. To every friend and family member who sent birthday wishes, gifts, and especially to those who took the time to celebrate with me, I can’t thank y’all enough. This has been the best birthday by far and I have you to thank. by @guerds

Thank you to @VP @KamalaHarris for taking the time to listen to my story yesterday at the @WhiteHouse. Wednesday, June 15th was the 10 year anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in the United States. Yesterday, I was able to celebrate the Dreamers who advocated to @BarackObama to push for legalization for the almost one million young people like me who are American in every way but legal status. DACA was an initiative by Barack Obama in 2012 but it was an executive order and meant to be a temporary fix to keep us from deportation. Ten years after @ObamaWhiteHouse passed the most successful immigration program that the country has seen in decades, we need a permanent fix.

I am honored to have been chosen to speak on behalf of about 835,000 DACA recipients to speak to you about the current state of immigration in this country.

I urge all Americans to contact your representatives (in both parties) so that DACA can be voted in the Senate. July 6, the Fifth Circuit Court hears oral arguments for DACA. This means that DACA is once more at risk and that many people like me may soon be at risk for deportation. We need comprehensive immigration reform for all Americans! #DACA #DACAmented

We’ve never been asked out on national television before but there’s a first time for everything, right? Go big or go home, lol.

Thank you so very much first to God then to the entire team at @nbc for choosing us to be on the first ever twin episode of The Weakest Link. It was an honor to be the first Haitians on the show, be on the same stage as the Emmy award winning @JaneLynchOfficial, and film @CBStvStudios. This was a truly unforgettable experience. Someone said we fell off, ooh we needed that 😮‍💨. Thank you to @CanvasRebel for interviewing us for your magazine again. In this interview, we held nothing back. To my other half, my soulmate, my doppelgänger, my best friend, another year with you is the best gift God could give me. 🎂 I hope God blesses us with many more. You’re the strongest person I know, you handle a congenital heart condition like a boss getting more done than people who are similarly healthy. Everything you do is with grace and your whole heart. I admire your strength. Every time we go to a new specialist for you, the staff is always surprised that despite a rare heart condition, you’re a nurse, in school, and still manage to find the energy to be a great Airbnb host and wonderful cat mom. Let’s not forget to mention, an amazing sister and friend. You don’t let people in easily, but when you do they can’t help but fall in love with who you are and I can’t blame them. There aren’t many people like you so I know I’m blessed to have someone in my life who is truly one of a kind, well two of a kind since you have me as a clone. I have many roles, but my favorite one is being your twin.

Chicago absolutely filled my heart. 💙
The Kellogg Foundation is doing something special, reminding us that youth are not the future, they're the NOW, the present.

The Festival Every Child Thrive was exceptional, inspiring... And their love for Haiti? So real and pure.

My favorite part? The Obama Presidential Center Museum.

I felt every possible feeling you know, sadness seeing how similar the Black story is everywhere, but also hope. Hope because if the US could elect a Black president, change is possible.

And the Obamas' genuine love for people? You can feel it. I can't even put it all into words but you will feel lots of feelings. I am happy to see how much intention @barackobama and @michelleobama put into this gem of work. The US needs such a place.

Thank you, Chicago! Thank you Kellogg 🙏❤️

Over 10 years ago, former President @barackobama started the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Now over a decade later, this little girl who is a DACA recipient is able to attend the @kelloggfoundation’s Every Child Thrives Festival and sit in an Oval Office at the @obamafoundation’s Obama Presidential Center Museum and feel like she belongs there. Thank you so much to the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and @womenfulvoice for this opportunity.

Every detail was exactly what I needed from the historic tour of Bronzeville to touring the presidential museum, hearing from wonderful speakers, attending great sessions, and networking with wonderful people. I met people that I felt like I knew all my life and even met inspirational actors and producers that motivate me every time I see them on the big screen. Only in Chicago. I can’t wait to take what I learned back to the nonprofit that I have the honor of serving as a Vice Chair to the Advisory Board, Womenful Voice.

And Chicago owes me nothing but a trip back to one of the best cities in the world so I can see the Obama Presidential Center library, vegetable garden, and rooftop this time. I haven’t been to Chicago in over 10 years, but every trip feels like I’ve never left.
