As Fibroid Awareness Month comes to a close, I’ve spent a lot of time listening.

Listening to patients. Listening to clinicians. Listening to the questions that keep coming up. One thing has become clear….

Awareness alone isn’t enough.

Too many women still don’t know all of their treatment options. They don’t know what questions to ask. They don’t know what support is available or where to find trusted, evidence-based information. That needs to change.

So today, I’m incredibly proud to announce that in 2027, @guidancesuite will launch the UK Fibroid Patient Conference in London. A national conference with one purpose: Giving patients the knowledge to make informed decisions about their care.

The conference will bring together leading experts to help patients better understand fibroid treatments, procedures, research, nutrition and the latest developments in care, all in one place.

Because every patient deserves a gold standard of care.

HERE IT IS! THE OFFICIAL VIDEO FROM THE GUIDANCE SUITE PRESENTS POWER OVER PAIN BRUNCH EVENT

This was the only UK brunch event held to mark Fibroid Awareness Month, where every woman in the room attended completely free of charge. Accessibility has always been at the heart of what we do. For so many women navigating complex healthcare journeys, the right information is often out of reach and that’s exactly what we set out to change.

And no, this wasn’t your typical health talk.
This was powerful, unapologetically elegant and where education didn’t have to be boring. We brought the vibes.

The women came dressed in white, owning their space. The conversations were honest, the learning was deep and the vibes were very much present.

The day featured a powerful patient story, a reminder of the realities so many are still living with; talks from leading gynaecologists; brunch, music and a room curated with care. All woven together with intention and heart.

We created something unforgettable and the feedback has echoed just that.

Why did we all wear white? Wearing white is the official colour of Fibroid Awareness Month, which was founded in the United States by @wecanwearwhite; a movement started by @tgvwearswhite. Wearing white is symbolic; it represents reclaiming your power in the face of a condition that often causes heavy bleeding.

For many, wearing white while managing fibroids was an act of courage and visibility and we honour that.

So many of you shared that it was your first time wearing white at the event and a number of you attended whilst on your period.

We see you and we honour your strength.

This was the first Power Over Pain event and it won’t be the last!

This is what happens when women are truly seen.

This is Power Over Pain! The UK’s only Fibroid Awareness Month Brunch.

A space where women can come together to ask questions, hear from leading specialists, connect with others who truly understand and, for one day, feel seen.

Because living with fibroids can be incredibly isolating.

Too many women are told their symptoms are “normal”. Too many spend years searching for answers. Too many leave appointments feeling unheard. Power Over Pain was created to change that.

Last Saturday, women travelled from across the UK to spend the day learning, sharing experiences and celebrating just how far they’ve come.

Watching women arrive as strangers and leave as friends, with renewed confidence and a better understanding of their options, is exactly why this event exists.

To every woman who joined us, thank you. You are the heart of Power Over Pain.

Thank you to our incredible speakers, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this day possible. We couldn’t have done it without you.

This isn’t just an event. It’s a reminder that every woman deserves to feel heard, informed and supported throughout her fibroid journey.

The calibre of speakers matters.

On Saturday, we hosted Power Over Pain, the UK’s only Fibroid Awareness Month Brunch, bringing together women living with or recovering from fibroids to learn, ask questions and spend the day surrounded by people who truly understood their journey.

We were privileged to be joined by @talkswithdrsesay @jimi_odejinmi @dr_mezaref @goldengynaecology, who generously gave up their Saturday to share their expertise with our community.

What makes these clinicians exceptional isn’t simply their knowledge. It’s the way they care for patients.

For years, they have supported not only me, but The Guidance Suite and the thousands of women in our community. They’ve answered difficult questions, spoken at our events and always been willing to give their time because they genuinely want women to receive better care.

One of my biggest goals has always been to break down the barriers between patients and healthcare professionals. Too many women walk into appointments feeling nervous or afraid to speak openly. On Saturday, those barriers disappeared. The conversations were honest, the guidance was easy to understand and every woman left knowing more than she did when she arrived.

To Aziza, Jimi, Mez and Natalie, thank you.

Thank you for believing in this vision and for continuing to stand alongside our community. Your support has never been a one-off. You’ve shown up time and time again, and I know how much that means to the women who attend our events.

On a personal note, thank you for your friendship. I learn something new from each of you every time we’re together, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside clinicians who care just as deeply about changing women’s experiences of healthcare.

This is exactly why I created Power Over Pain. When patients and healthcare professionals come together as equals, amazing things happen.

Here’s to doing it all again next year.

To every woman who joined us yesterday… thank you.

Thank you for saying “yes” to yourself.

I know that for many of you, simply walking through those doors wasn’t easy. Some of you were in pain. Some of you were bleeding. Some of you were exhausted. Some of you weren’t sure if you were going to make it until the very last minute.

But you came.

You wore white. You filled the room with warmth, kindness and the most incredible energy. You laughed together, cried together and celebrated together. Most importantly, you reminded one another that no woman should have to navigate fibroids alone.

Power Over Pain is only possible because of each and every one of you. Thank you for trusting The Guidance Suite, for sharing your stories, for supporting one another and for making yesterday so incredibly special.

I hope you left feeling heard, informed and, above all, hopeful.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making Power Over Pain 2026 such a truly unforgettable day.
