Whittle by whittle - we made spoons! 🥄

Our campers learned how to safely use carving knives wearing tool gloves 🔪🧤

They carved cottonwood bark into an initial shape, used a spoon carving tool to create the bowl, sandpaper to make it smooth and finished by coating it in walnut oil for a nice dark stain.

Whittling is a pretty incredible way to build fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, focus, patience, problem-solving & confidence!

The kids were so excited to bring home such a meaningful & useful project. We are so proud of them! 👏

Guided Wild won 2nd place in the Livingston Roundup 4th of July parade 2026! 🇺🇸

Our kiddos worked hard on decorating their T-shirts & banners for our float! We lashed branches & natural materials to the outside of a trailer to create our very own forest scene!

The children wore mushroom caps & flower crowns while handing out paracord bracelets, emergency whistles & tree-shaped stress balls! 🌳🍄🌸

It poured rain on us right in the middle of our march & it couldn’t have made for a more perfect representation of what it’s like going to Forest School - rain or shine!

How lucky are these kids, growing up in a small town & getting to be a part of a parade viewed by 1000s of residents! We’re so proud of them for helping represent their local Forest School!

Thank you to ALL of our parents who helped keep us safe & steer clear of horse 💩 while marching through downtown! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Summer Camp - Week 1🌳☀️

At Guided Wild, we believe childhood is meant to be spent outdoors getting messy, taking supported risks & developing confidence through hands-on experiences in nature.

Our days were spent climbing, splashing, problem-solving, collaborating & making new friends!

Guided by 8 truly wonderful & thoughtful guides, our campers spent their days painting the landscape through plein air watercolor art, building shelters in the woods, exploring pond life, tackling rope obstacle courses, creating wood crafts, & putting on imaginative forest performances ✨

1 week down & 7 more WILD weeks to look forward to!

Building birdhouses! 🕊️🪺

Spring is the perfect season to engage little ones in making birdhouses! Not only is it a fun & hands-on activity, but it also promotes developmental outcomes such as fine motor skills & early STEM thinking.

Our preschoolers decorated their birdhouses and took them home to mount in their yards for their local birds to utilize!

Huge thanks to our landowner, Amber, for providing materials and assisting in this project! 🔨🪵

Earth Day 2026 🌎

Our preschoolers took the lead in cleaning up trash around our creekside setting and local neighborhood.

This hands-on experience not only helps to preserve nature but also deepens their connection to the environment.

By participating in activities like this, children are able to develop a greater appreciation for the planet and a sense of responsibility toward protecting it for future generations!

How’s your knowledge of the flora & fauna of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem!? 🦬🫎🌳

Guided Wild is offering 4 Forest Fridays across April & May. Each session is $75. Sign up for as many sessions as you’d like.

*Note: 2 of these dates fall on Fridays that Livingston public schools are closed. (April 24 & May 22)

Forest School is the perfect way to immerse your child in nature & foster a deep connection with the outdoors.

In this Spring Friday Series, children aged 5-10 will have the opportunity to learn essential skills like shelter-building, fire-building, knot-tying & tool use in a safe and supportive environment.

With a focus on child-led learning & hands-on experiences, your little ones will develop a love for outdoor education while sharpening their tool use abilities.

Guided Wild Summer Camp 2026 😎

Mark your calendars - March 15th we will be opening enrollment to the public. This summer we are offering 8 weeks of nature-based fun from June 15 - August 13.

$100 deposits will be collected from March 15th to reserve your place. The deposit will be applied to your overall total tuition for the camp.

Choose between full or half day schedules for as many weeks as you’d like! A 15% sibling discount will always be provided.

Spaces can fill quick so think about which weeks you’d love to have your kiddos get WILD with us this summer - then get in touch mid-March to secure your schedule!
