We’re thrilled to announce our keynote speaker for the guildford.games festival 2026: Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CEO of @ccpgames

As the driving force behind EVE Online - one of the most ambitious, player-driven universes ever created - Hilmar has spent more than two decades shaping online worlds and pushing the boundaries of what games can be.

His leadership at CCP has defined an era of innovation in online games, player-authored stories and community engagement. To have him join us at G Live, Guildford on Friday 20th February is an *enormous* honour!

This year’s festival is our biggest and most developer-focused yet - with panels, portfolio reviews, The Audio Track, our business track for established devs and top AAA and indie studios from Guildford and beyond showcasing their work.

Hilmar’s keynote will set the tone for a day showcasing creativity, ambition and the future of game development - and we cannot wait to welcome him, and for you to hear from him!

We’re so excited to share that through ticket sales, the raffle, and generous donations at the Awards Ceremony, we raised just under £10,000 at this year’s @guildford.games Festival! 🎮

This amazing total will directly support our mental health and wellbeing services across Surrey - and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who made it possible.

Our team had a brilliant time at the festival, continuing our multi-year partnership and championing wellbeing alongside Guildford’s incredible gaming industry. We had so many important conversations with local studios and individuals about mental health, community, and creating supportive workplace cultures.

A huge thank you to @liquidcrimson and everyone involved in making the festival such a success.
