Enter Art Fair + 2112 + other circle

post-disciplinary creative culture

Since the 1970s, Gun Gordillo has been a pioneer in her field, utilizing neon as her primary medium. Her artistic practice involves a continuous exploration of her chosen materials. Gordillo frequently engages neon in dialogue with lead, steel, brass, wood, acrylic glass, and paint, pushing the boundaries of what is possible. With an uncompromising approach to both art and life, Gordillo’s works serve as a testament to the sublimely beautiful, the poetic, and the rebellious. Today, Gordillo is represented by 2112.

other circle is a post-disciplinary platform rooted in creative culture. Our mission is to capture moments and energies across disciplines.

Such a pleasure to visit the amazing neon installation by Gun Gordillo at Hötorget Metro station ⚡️

Gun Gordillo’s work at Hötorget metro station in Stockholm was created in 1998 as part of her exploration of light, space, and perception. Using neon and reflective materials, the installation transforms the underground environment into a dynamic and visually engaging space. It reflects her broader artistic practice, which focuses on how light interacts with architecture and shapes the viewer’s experience.

The artwork has since been officially recognized as worthy of preservation, highlighting its cultural and artistic significance. This designation ensures that the installation is protected as an important example of late 20th-century public art integrated into urban infrastructure. taken in Hötorget by @gungordillo

INVITATION ✨

On occasion of the exhibition ‘PARTICULA ‘ on view in the gallery in Charlottenlund, we are pleased to invite you to a talk with Gun Gordillo about late Danish artist Freddy Fraek (1935—2016), his artistic practice, and their long-time collaboration, as well as their life together as a couple.

Monday, April 20, 2026
17 – 18

2112
Rådhusvej 1
Charlottenlund

Freddy Fraek was a prominent figure in Danish and international art. He worked across sculpture, graphics, and spatial installations, and was known for his playful and exploratory approach to form, sound, movement, and perception. In several works, he employed electromagnetism to generate subtle vibrations within his sculptures, activating them through invisible forces and blurring the boundary between object and event.

Beyond the visual arts, he was also a recognized musician and entertainer in Denmark, where his performative presence and musical sensibility informed and enriched his artistic practice across disciplines.

The exhibition has been created in close collaboration with Gun Gordillo, Fraek’s life partner and collaborator. They shared not only a life, but also an ongoing artistic dialogue in which ideas, processes, and visions intertwined over time. Their collaboration was characterized by mutual respect, curiosity, and an openness toward experimentation.

  balance – imbalance
  slip
  impulse
  cramp
  release
  unravelling
  dependency on emptiness
  with its unknown boundaries

empty space is not only defined by its physical frames but also by
the thoughts it is encompassed by.
empty space has a sound – set in motion by its inherent energy.

Excerpt from PARTICULA by Freddy Fraek, 2007

The exhibition is on view through April 25, 2026.
