yesterday at a protest in Lisbon against the zionist colonisation and genocide in Palestine 🇵🇸 and Lebanon 🇱🇧 I took my fan and said a few words :) #thereisnoprideingenocide

i went to @whole.festival with a few missions. 1) to talk to as many people as possible about the intersectional aspect of a queer festival. 2) to imprint a strong pro-palestine statement in the festival’s landscape, 3) to create tension and expose the hatred of zionists that could be eventually attending.

so I took the fan I created for a performance at my Lisbon-based party @curvycurvs (benefit 4 Palestine edition), put it in my suitcase to Berlin, traveled with it all the way to Ferropolis and spent most of the festival raising it.

all three missions were succesful. as expected, many zionists (mostly muscled yt normative gays, not by chance) indeed showed up trying to make me put the fan down, with all kinds of verbal - and even physical - aggressions. a giant asshole pushed me and tried to take it down by force. another white twink said he would “slice me off”. a yt girl started crying and asked “why are you doing this to me?” (lol)

yes, it was a lot to handle. but for every person that tried to harass me, there was at least ten (mostly FLINTA and/or POC, not by chance) showing love, protecting, supporting, pushing aggressors away, asking if I was ok. and that still makes me emotional. that’s how we practice intersectionality. that’s how we reinforce the political meaning of our collective queerness.

many people were shocked like “i can’t believe a zionist could come to Whole”. but as the idea of queerness travels around, it gains different meanings, sometimes opposite to what it really means. pinkwashing and zionist homonationalism are cancerous adaptations of neoliberal fascism for LGBTQ+ identities. they should be fought against everyday. cry me a river, danielryanspaulding

of course, one person said “this is not a political event”. for anyone who thinks like this, I recommend the poem Children of Our Era, by Wislawa Szymborska. but, in simple words, everything is political. since I created my first platform of queer intersectional artivism, @arevoltadalampada, in São Paulo 2014, I’ve been applying the statement FERVO TAMBÉM É LUTA (raving is also fighting, in free translation). and i’ll continue to do so.

Novo episódio todas as quintas-feiras.

So happy to be part with my visual video of #FuriaDisca and a incredible photo taken by @betovargasmx in the expo FRICÇÕES ARTIVISTAS in Lisboa, Portugal by @qravo.coletivo.

On description:
Furia Disca (Disabled Fury)
Is an experimental music piece that merges sound, identity, and political expression. The work channels anger and empowerment through a high-energy, alternative cumbia rebajada, transforming music into a space of resistance.
The term “disca” reclaimed from “disability,” becomes central to the piece’s message shifting from stigma to pride. Through the Guz Guevara lens, “Furia Disca” explores themes of visibility, marginalization, and defiance, positioning disability not as limitation but as a powerful cultural identity.

More than a song, the piece functions as a performative statement: a confrontation against ableism and social exclusion. It invites the audience to experience emotion as activism, blending sonic intensity with a call for recognition, dignity, and self-definition.

“Furia Disca” can be understood as both a musical artifact and a socio-political intervention where sound becomes protest, and identity becomes art.

Thanks a lot @gustrav4 for having us! 🔥 by @gustrav4
