What an unforgettable heavy metal night in Maniwaki this Saturday, October11th, 2025. 🔥

More than 200 people came together to celebrate the long-awaited return of of our band @wildwindmetal Wild Wind, after 40 years away from the stage in our hometown. And what an incredible energy you gave us!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who came to sing, scream, raise their fists, and share this moment with us.

You turned this evening into a true heavy metal party, filled with passion, friendship, and unforgettable memories. ✨️

A huge thank you to L’Auberge du Draveur, Martin St-Jacques, and the entire staff for their flawless hospitality.

And most of all, a very special thank you to Bruce Gauvreau, our bassist, for his tremendous work in organizing the event and his unwavering dedication — none of this would have been possible without him. 🙏

A big thank you as well to Mentallica for joining this amazing heavy metal celebration! 🤘

Today is a special day as I was born on this day many full moons ago. My mom called me today 💝 She introduced me to music at a very young age; at the age of 12, I could read music. I joined a professional marching band and played trumpet for many years.

Then a new musical chapter began, and I sold my soul to rock 'n roll. That day, my friends were rehearsing, and I picked up the microphone 🎤 and we became and still are a heavy rock band named: Wild Wind @wildwindmetal. Internet didn't exist and in a one horse town it was not the easiest; but we managed to share the big stage with iconic musicians such as the Canadian Metal Queen Lee Aaron and the genius and prolific Nanette Workman.

You can also find our original music on YouTube under the musical project name: Kliff Hangar. Yep, I am eternal now 💫

The above pictures were sent to me not long ago via social media. It's way back then; and such a gesture warms my heart.

Volkswagen, Outdoor adventures and Music are my passions.

Rock Forever 🤘 🎶🎼

Happy 59th Birthday to my 1967 Wolfsburg Beetle! 🎂🇩🇪

Built on March 16th, 1967, in Germany and shipped to Vancouver 🇨🇦, thereafter, this black beauty has been a part of my life since 2004. Keeping it original and meticulously maintained has been a labor of love and passion.

Swipe left to see Black Bug having fun on a teeter-totter platform. Back in the days... ☮️

Be safe. Love you ALL 🖤❤️

Long days, short sleeps… and memories that stick.

I warned my friend Claude ahead of time about this snowmobile adventure:
"It will be tough, long days, short sleeps, but we’ll have lots of laughter, great food, and views to remember… like a tattoo in your heart."

With a daily average of 275 km, our annual snowmobile adventure has come to an end.

We traveled 2,204.6 km across the regions of Abitibi, Témiscamingue, and all the way up to Matagami—the far northern entrance to James Bay in Québec, Canada.

🪶🤍 In the Cree First Nation language, “Matagami” means “Where the waters meet.”

In the end, as the days unfolded and the kilometers stacked up through Québec’s boreal forest, I realized how fast the world is changing… and how fragile life can be.

Friendship… a real boost of energy, positivity, and freshness ✨

Memories… pure white snow. Black spruce. Blue sky. That kind of northern silence. 🌲

Heaven on snow… imprinted in my spirit.

A tattoo in my heart. ❄️💙🙏

Before September ends...
Hop in. 🚗🍂 Let’s take a drive deep into my Baskatong backcountry roads. The colors of fall are painting the forest, and the air feels alive.

We’ll stop for lunch to enjoy a classic Québec treat: Poutine—crispy fries, rich gravy, and squeaky cheese curds. Miam-miam! 😋

Later, by the Baskatong Lake, we’ll watch the sun melt into the horizon, closing the day in beauty. 🌅

And sometimes I wonder… if my old '67 VW Beetle could fly, where would it take me? 🌍☀️✨

Love you all 🖤❤️✌️

2025 August 23rd - Antique Car Show – 4th Edition – Maniwaki, Québec, Canada.

Early morning, the sky is clearing up and Black Bug and I hit the Baskatong backcountry road. Nothing could stop us… except a beautiful family of wild turkeys crossing the road! Six or seven poults followed their mother, and ‘Tom’ proudly brought up the rear. A sign of a beautiful day ahead. Wow!

An hour later, we arrived at the event. By noon, 152 cars had already been registered. By 10 am, registration lines were packed. I spotted a 1969 white Beetle ahead—instant smile. But first, a mandatory stop for the professional photographer to capture Black Bug in all his glory.

At the far end, I noticed a tiny blue VW Beetle Vandetta—my friend Richard, who drove his custom VW all the way from Ottawa, Ontario. I bought Black Bug from him back in 2004. Volkswagen family forever.✨️

After a quick handshake and shoulder-to-shoulder hug, a pristine 1968 red VW convertible parked right beside us. The driver, an 84-year-old VW enthusiast, immediately sparked the ‘VW talk.’ By 10 am, we were already four Volkswagen cars strong.

Soon after, a 1967 VW Split-Window Bus rolled in, followed by an early 1980s red VW Rabbit convertible and a blue VW Dune Buggy. Seven Volkswagens in total!

Visitors of all ages came to admire the cars—kids fascinated by the engine at the back, and adults sharing memories of their Volkswagen days.

Accommodations were top-notch: a waterpark, clean bathrooms, vendors, and food trucks.

A perfect event, a perfect day. Grateful for the cars, the friends, and the memories. Love you all!

Peace ✌ 🖤♥️💙💛
