Friday Shoutout: “My Bug was born on March 1967 and was shipped to Vancouver, Canada. I bought him (a.k.a Pickpocket) in 2004 from Richard Lane, a VW guru. The first owner was Colonel William Lockhart (Canadian Army, Second World War Veteran) who passed away in 1989, so I’m the third owner of this original VW. All original paint and the car is stock except for the EMPI 5 spoke wheels and the radial tires. Still a show car winner as he finished 3rd place last at Volksfest Joliette, Quebec, Canada last year. Approaching 80,000 miles, he has his scars (dings, scratches, etc) but rock solid and running strong and free. Scars have power to remind us that the past was real. Never forget who gave you the best of them!” Owner: Guy Peron @guyzoun
