An Important Update On Parking for Our Audience Members

This week, GVSU implemented a new policy that GVSU parking lots will be closed to anyone who is not a faculty, staff, student, or registered guest beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday through 3 a.m. Monday morning when regular parking permits are required.

We have worked with our partners on campus to reserve Lot H for all weekend MTD events, so that our patrons can continue to park for free and conveniently close to the Haas Center for Performing Arts.

Thank you for your continued support of the arts on campus - we look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon! 💙⚓ by @gvsumtd

The first production of the 2026-2027 season is
✨A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM ✨
by William Shakespeare
Adapted and Directed by Demetria Thomas

October 2-11
Louis Armstrong Theatre

This is Shakespeare at his most unhinged: a tangle of lovesick nobles, meddling fairies, and incompetent actors stumbling through a forest where almost everyone makes poor decisions. With musical inspiration from the 1950s and the 1980s, this glorious romp through the forest is a reminder that love is irrational, dreams are stranger than reality, and the universe always enjoys a practical joke.

Our third annual Summer Dance Festival is right around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🎉🎵✨

We can’t wait to welcome the community to a performance featuring an incredible range of talented and diverse dance groups. As we eagerly await the festival, let’s take a moment to get to know the performers joining us this year. Next, we’d like to welcome back Grand Valley State University Dance Ensemble!

“Grand Valley State University dance majors Haley Rosendale, Eliana Weinert, and Sarah Wolter are excited to share their choreography at the GRB Summer Festival. As student performers, they have danced in the works of faculty and nationally known artists such as Devin Baker, Celia Benvenutti, Karena Birk, and DJ Smart. As creators, their work has developed through choreography courses, individual projects, and the student dance organization Momentum. Enjoy!”

Mark your calendars to see Grand Valley State University Dance Ensemble perform live on August 23 at our Summer Dance Festival!
