What an amazing way to spend a Saturday night. I was thrilled to take @tommynigro and @blairelulu to see Matt Rife at The Greek. It was an amazing night. Matt’s show was outstanding and if you have a chance to see him, I highly recommend you make it happen. To be able to spend time with the people I love while creating new memories is such a wonderful gift. What a wonderful date night with Grace. Aside from the 3X Dippin’ Dots fiasco, it was my first time to Philippe’s which was pretty fantastic. Grace also managed to get us into the press box which was a very cool experience. We saw a great game with friends and overall we enjoyed a beautiful night out on a school night 😊 by @gymsherpa

Grace and I had the most wonderful experience traveling to see Rufus Du Sol in San Diego. @graceclou12 taking these little trips with you, making beautiful memories together, and simply being in your company makes me happy. 35+ years of friendship with @mikezintx who came to visit this past weekend. It’s been too long since we had seen each other and we made use of every minute. I enjoyed some reminiscing and more importantly building new, incredible memories. From the Peterson Auto Museum, to The Magic Castle, to Boris Brejcha with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Definitely a weekend for the record books. A massive THANK YOU to @aimeekg @heatplay and @graceclou12 for helping make this weekend extra special. by @gymsherpa

Lately, I’ve found myself standing at a crossroads.

The last several years have been some of the hardest of my life. There are days when the weight of everything feels heavier than I want to admit. Some days, I honestly don’t know what the next step is or how to carry that weight.

I’m not posting this for sympathy. I’m posting it because I think a lot of us quietly carry things we don’t talk about.

I’m grateful for what I have. I really am. But I’ve learned that gratitude doesn’t erase pain. Both can exist at the same time.

I don’t know exactly where this next chapter leads, but I haven’t stopped believing there’s still something meaningful ahead. So I’ll keep putting one foot in front of the other until I find it.

Today marks another anniversary to one of the most meaningful days of my life, the day I was finally able to legally adopt you.
Looking back, it wasn’t an easy road. There were so many forms to file, laws to learn, obstacles to overcome, and more than a few moments when it felt like the process would never end. We were fortunate to have people who believed in us and helped us along the way, and on this day in 2014, it finally became official.
But what made that day special wasn’t the paperwork or the court order. It’s the fact that this wasn’t something that just simply happened because of biology. It was a choice. A choice made with love. And while I may have been the one pursuing the adoption, you were the one who said yes.
I don’t know if I’ve fully told you how much that means to me.
Being your father has been the most rewarding, challenging, humbling, and joyful experiences of my life. Things haven’t always been easy, but they’ve always been rooted in love. Through the years, we’ve grown together as father and son, but we’ve also grown as individuals, and watching the man you’ve become has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
Like most parents, I’d like to think I’ve taught you a few things along the way. And the truth is you’ve taught me just as much. You’ve taught me patience, resilience, perspective, and what it means to love someone unconditionally. You’ve added purpose to my life in ways I could never have imagined.
What makes me especially proud isn’t any single accomplishment. It’s your character. It’s your integrity. It’s the way you strive to do the right thing, even when it’s difficult. It’s the kind of man you’ve become.
Po, I want you to know how grateful I am that I get to call you my son. You’ve been one of the greatest blessings in my life, and I’m overjoyed to have a son like you.
As much as I cherish the memories we’ve already made, what excites me the most is the future. I feel like our relationship continues to grow stronger and closer with each passing year, and that makes me incredibly happy. No matter how old you get, no matter where life takes either of us, I by @gymsherpa
