So sad to hear about @dollyparton . As a little girl, I obsessed with sequins, fringe, sparkles, big rip-away saloon dresses (I was shown The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas WAYYYY too young but loved the singing and dancing, Burt and Dolly, and the DRESSES), feathers, satin, rhinestones, high heels, big bosoms, cowboy boots, and tried like heck to make my plastic-beaded jump rope be a working lasso because of her. I believed that one day I’d work a job and have actual cartoon animals be at work with me because they were in 9 to 5. I wanted to be fancy and be able to sing like her, using my mom’s upside down nail polish 💅 bottles as my “microphone” while singing and dancing around in our tiny base housing house. Naturally, I was wearing a yard sale golden satin, bejeweled Mardi Gras twirler costume my “grandma” had gotten for me, complete with sequined tulle tutu. I’ve always admired her kindness and philanthropy as I grew up and learned how much she invested in people, kids and adults alike. She will never be replaced or forgotten. 🦋 by @gypsymomma13

Met my college bestie in Burgettstown, PA at Star Lake for her Dave Matthews Band #41 concert and her son’s first. What began with INCREDIBLY generous tailgating, frat brother neighbors who brought their own pro set-up of catering food, blenders, beverages, sweet treats, and camaraderie ended with a great show! I loved the new song #papertown as well as the pure delight on the face of Jake Simpson as he added his fiddle expertise.
