We never really think of our pets as getting older. Their presence becomes so familiar that it is easy to forget how much time has shaped them, and us.

There is wisdom in their eyes, patience in their movements, and a quiet understanding that comes from having walked beside you through seasons of change. They have witnessed your life unfold in ways no one else ever could, offering loyalty without condition and love without expectation.

Choosing to photograph them now is not about anticipating goodbye. It is about honoring the bond you share in this moment, exactly as it is. It is a gift to your future self, a way of preserving their spirit and the meaning they brought to your family long after time has moved forward.

When we transform your senior pet into a piece of art, we are capturing far more than their appearance. We are preserving their presence, the feeling of who they are to you, and the role they have played in your story. This is about freezing a moment in time so that one day, when you look back, everything they meant to you comes rushing in all at once. And in that moment, you will be grateful you chose to capture them now, just as they are.

If your heart is telling you not to wait, we have two special spots in March for our senior pets. DM us 'senior pets' and we can start the process 💜

✨What an unforgettable few days✨

This workshop with the incredible @annie_hamman and the generous coordination of @olga.s.furman has been such a gift. Loved Dana’s studio @7heartsfarmgirl such a fun space to create!

I’ve admired Annie’s work for years, so to finally learn from her in person (and alongside such an amazing group of artists) was truly a dream. 💛

One of my biggest takeaways was realizing that slowing down can still be intuitive. Breaking a painting into steps, savoring each layer, even mixing a palette before beginning…things that once felt restrictive actually made the whole process feel more holistic, grounding, and deeply creative. It reminded me that efficiency doesn’t take away spontaneity… it actually creates more space for it.

My painting (still in progress!) began to unfold into a story of its own… one I’ll share more about once it’s finished. For now, I’m holding it close and letting the layers settle in.

And beyond the art, there was connection, laughter, and wandering! I’m so grateful for this experience, the friendships made, and the creative sparks it has already ignited. I’ll share more soon from the next chapter of this trip (hint: Dancing the night away and
New York!) 🌆

what’s ur biggest fear when booking a 🐈🐕📸?

A memorable giveaway I did was a photoshoot with @gypsymomma13 and her beloved pets.

We created so many beautiful memories together, and it reminded me how meaningful these portraits can be.

If you’ve ever thought about booking a pet photoshoot but held back, I’d love to hear from you.

What makes you nervous? What questions do you have? Let’s talk about it in the comments.

Some love stories don’t need words 💗

I saw a quote that said:

“The love I have for this creature, even though we have never shared a conversation, is proof that actions speak louder than words.”

If you have ever loved a pet, you know this feeling. The way they greet you at the door like you are the best thing that has ever happened to them. The way they sense when you need comfort. The way their love is given freely, without hesitation.

Photos allow us to hold onto that feeling forever. To capture the way they look at us, the joy in their eyes, the love we can feel but never quite put into words.

Because one day, these portraits will mean everything.

Drop a ❤️ if your pet has ever made your worst day better just by being there.

Where to start… probably by a HUGE thank you to these 7 women for being such good company during their 10 days here! And especially to @katrinakoltes , a talented artist for sharing her passion! 💖

´French rolls’ might be their new nickname (if you know you know 😉😂) but I just want to add that they are as beautiful on the inside as the outside! 💖

Tomorrow we welcome @christophercoleartist for his 4th workshop at Perigord Retreats, we can’t wait! 😃

Katrina’s group just left, what an amazing 10 days everyone had! Amazing painting with a wonderful group of artists! 🧑🏼‍🎨

Here is a quick video of last night and yes, the sunset was amazing to end Katrina’s workshop. 🌅💖

Use this sound for your pet and share it with me 😂

Cricket was one of the most well behaved cats we ever photographed. He was so brave that he traveled around 8 hours for his photosession and felt right at home as soon as he walked in. He wasn’t thrilled about his crown, but he made it work because he knew how important it was to his mom.

I’d love to create more solo art pieces of your pets 🥰

Lump reveal at end! 🐶

Lump was a dachshund who became one of Pablo Picasso’s most beloved pets and, interestingly, one of his muses. Lump (pronounced “Loomp,” which means “rascal” in German) was originally the dog of photographer David Douglas Duncan, a close friend of Picasso. Duncan brought Lump to Picasso’s villa in Cannes, France, in 1957. Lump immediately took to Picasso, and the artist, in turn, developed a deep affection for the dog.

Lump’s relationship with Picasso was unique; the dog quickly became a part of Picasso’s life and daily routine. Unlike Picasso’s other pets, Lump had free reign of the house, even eating from Picasso’s plate. The bond between the two was so strong that Lump ended up staying with Picasso permanently, essentially “adopting” the artist as his new owner.

Picasso incorporated Lump into several of his works. One of the most famous examples is his reinterpretation of Diego Velázquez’s *”Las Meninas.”* In this series, Picasso added Lump to the scene, sitting at the feet of the main characters, replacing the mastiff from the original painting. This inclusion is a testament to the importance of Lump in Picasso’s life and work.

Lump lived with Picasso for six years and was with the artist through a highly productive period of his career. After Lump passed away in 1973, just ten days before Picasso himself died, he was buried in a marked grave in the garden of Picasso’s villa, reflecting the special bond they shared.

Lump’s story is a poignant example of the close relationship between an artist and his pet, showing how deeply Picasso valued and cherished this small dachshund.

Tonight my heart 🩵 and soul ✨are so full! Every minute of the Relax, Reset, Rewire Retreat was magical.

The second day we had alone self reflection time, unwound with Yomassage, got creative with meditative painting @heart.happy.art , and Sunday stretched and balanced more with yoga @michisberthier.

Falling asleep to the rain 🌧️ and waking to a gorgeous sunrise ☀️ 😍 was restoring.

I had the deep and cool realization this weekend that ALL of the difficult and very not fun experiences I’ve had have taught me tremendous truths— about myself, people, life

and given me strength, wisdom, courage and vulnerability to share them and hold space for others experiencing similar things

Leading to awareness, acceptance, their own truth, strength, wisdom, vulnerability, and ultimately— Healing.

Women supporting women, learning from each other, guiding each other, seeing and hearing each other.

And leaving each others’ presence feeling more whole, more full, to reemerge into life ready to live out the shifts we create

The new patterns and neural pathways

The new tools we learned and practiced

And pay forward that love, healing, and true JOY energy.

Life is good 🩵💙🩵💙

I love where I am right NOW. That’s all I got 😊😎 #tranquilflamebodyworks #neurosculpting #becomingzesty #newbeliefsnewbrain #midlifeisamazing
