In what I like to consider a remarkable win for musical-obsessed, tone deaf kids everywhere… I have just had some of the most electrifying days of my life working with so many insanely talented friends on @thebaronessmusical And when I say… TALENT. Holy shit.
As someone who can’t hold a tune, to watch these people at work… Obviously there’s the supreme musicality of my co-writer, my purveyor of soul and of smut, my gloried Baroness @emrusciano … And then the flat out musical genius of @sean_musix HOW DOES HE EVEN EXIST!?!? He literally inhales Evan Hansen and exhales a Mariah run. It’s OFFENSIVE.
Match them with… THAT. FUCKING. CAST. @marneymcqueen @rgonzy @elandrah.f @andy_karl @natalieabbott_ @joelgranger_ All six of them with voices from heaven and comic instincts from the gutter, WHAT a sublime combination.
All of it of course crafted, wrangled, and trussed like a magnificent Christmas ham by the silky, singular @miss_harbinger … and finally… dressed in the madcap fabulousness only @gypsytaylor could provide…. Honestly… I could retire happy right now.
I won’t.
Because we’re just beginning with this show.
But mostly because I am determined to get myself into another space with those magnificent wunderkinds.
What a room. What a time. Yodel-lay-he-hoo indeed. by @gypsytaylor

Thank you to the @apdguild and my peers for recognizing costume design in commercials 💙 I loved creating a teeny Apollo astronaut and a wolf pup for @photoplayfilms directed by the uber talented @mj_montalban and produced by long time collegue Florence Tourbier for @kleenexaunz

Massive thanks to crafty creator extraordinaire @hayleyegandesign and to the divine @asboroff for getting the helmet delivered on time only to have @studio_stoic work his magic. Forever grateful to my uber talented BFF @nettietwem for all the life support and to cutter extraordinaire @maria.petrozzi and gorgeous graphics by gorgeous @jacquischolfield

Congrats to my fellow nominees and one of the most talented women I know @virginiasforlovers whose commercial for Photoplay films Directed by @scottottoanderson is epic!! by @gypsytaylor

I’m just setting up chairs for this Sunday’s production of Selene. If you haven’t booked there are still a tiny handful left. It’s the last of our autumn season here at @the.how.do.you.do.club

It’s been a terrific first half of the year. @therealdollydiamond Julia Zemiro, myself in Ghost Salon, @queenievdzandt @gypsytaylor and now @_megandrury_ in Selene for @wright_and_grainger

I’m taking June off to work out what to do with Australia’s smallest theatre company. Haha. Expect even more shows and if you haven’t been, come.

Trust me. It’s rather good seeing theatre close up.
