In what I like to consider a remarkable win for musical-obsessed, tone deaf kids everywhere… I have just had some of the most electrifying days of my life working with so many insanely talented friends on @thebaronessmusical And when I say… TALENT. Holy shit.
As someone who can’t hold a tune, to watch these people at work… Obviously there’s the supreme musicality of my co-writer, my purveyor of soul and of smut, my gloried Baroness @emrusciano … And then the flat out musical genius of @sean_musix HOW DOES HE EVEN EXIST!?!? He literally inhales Evan Hansen and exhales a Mariah run. It’s OFFENSIVE.
Match them with… THAT. FUCKING. CAST. @marneymcqueen @rgonzy @elandrah.f @andy_karl @natalieabbott_ @joelgranger_ All six of them with voices from heaven and comic instincts from the gutter, WHAT a sublime combination.
All of it of course crafted, wrangled, and trussed like a magnificent Christmas ham by the silky, singular @miss_harbinger … and finally… dressed in the madcap fabulousness only @gypsytaylor could provide…. Honestly… I could retire happy right now.
I won’t.
Because we’re just beginning with this show.
But mostly because I am determined to get myself into another space with those magnificent wunderkinds.
What a room. What a time. Yodel-lay-he-hoo indeed.

Gypsy Taylor @gypsytaylor is a walking encyclopaedia when it comes to costuming. Erudite, gifted and glamorous to the core. She’s also hilarious and her classes feel like a jitterbug with the cool kids- an energetic dance for your creative soul.

Her Hollywood Sketch Club delivered. Our beautiful audiences bustled in with exuberance and left with new friends. Pencils were scratching out fantastic images of our model, @kaelistics and the artistic focus was sublime.

Cake, cucumber sandwiches and scones by @redrocketrover made for a sweet interval too.

Gypsy will be back in September with a Spring Class. Follow along with our socials for details.

Another fabulous event thanks to @droozah …for not just his magnificent organisational skills but the glam, fun and style he brings to @dirtyjanes_bowral.

Today, with the superstar extra ordinaire @gypsytaylor & ravishing @kaelistics we started by warming up our fingers with drawing rounds and squares, then sketched each other without raising the pencil off the paper or looking at our sketches, keeping our eyes only on each others faces only. As you can see, Kimi and I aced this exercise!

Stunning Kael arrived dressed to the nines and we had 5 and 10 minutes sketching time, a most delicious home made scones sandwiches cake and tea break, more sketching and so much fun. The highlight was definitely Gypsy’s stories of Hollywood and Kimberley and I could have sat there all day listening, but that would have been exhausting for her so we left.
