Woah it was hot for a while and the kiln was on and I sweat a lot at the studio :) hehe!!! My ring holder came out “OK 👍🏽” as my dad would say. We had some bro enrichment time by the pool and made cyanotype prints using transparencies this time! ~little by little, day by day, what’s meant for you will find its way~ alright cool. by @habibithing

My piece hung out with @theonlylonelyabalone this weekend while we took all the dogs up to Mendocino county. We found a lot of rose quartz. I soldered this box out of abalone my dad brought back from Lebanon. The ring was lost wax cast in sterling silver. Grateful for my hands and all they create. by @habibithing

Ok so me n sweet Plu aka @puppypuppylove1 have been collaborating for a while. They’ve handpoked me maybe 7x now and every time I look like a sleeping gremlin on their table. This new collaboration, though, is so special. I soldered the structure and added some mirrors, pearls, and abalone. They printed on this beautiful fabric that allows light to pass through and attached it to the structure. Then together we added ball chain and some charms I soldered when I first started out. Still a work in progress but again aaaaren’t we all!!! by @habibithing

Balancing it all somehow!!! New pearl clippy samples, gonna be making a bunch of these for my fellow clip wearers. They’ll be @renegadecraft and @westcoastcraft in November. Shout out the spa for being my second home at this point. Weekly trips to sleep in the steam room is all it takes. And also lots of love to my chaotically good desk and my home studio setup. Waking up early to make jewels for y’all is my love letter to the universe. by @habibithing

Some lore for you. I grew up around clay. My mom would sit at our kitchen table and paint ceramics for hours a day. I did ceramics all four years of high school, along with woodshop. In 2009 I moved to San Francisco and helped start a ceramics course at my university. In 2013 I had my own little clay studio in the San Francisco Tenderloin. It was a magical place where I’d turn earth into biomorphic forms that came to me during the process of making. In 2019 I had a home studio, where I would play for hours and hours on end. Now we’re here in 2026 and I’m a member at a community studio. Shout out @clay_clubhouse and all the tremendously talented people that I get to share space with. I’m still making my sculptural forms. I’m still making clay chains. My next piece will incorporate both. I’m also still making jewels! The aluminum charms in the last slide have gravel, onyx, and abalone embedded into them. And, yeah, still supporting folks as a therapist. My favorite part of the day, truly! I spend 80% of my day creating for myself and the other 20% goes to holding space for others. It’s been a fun journey. I’m just so glad I’m here. by @habibithing

Rock Party was just adorable thanks to @samanthaaskye and friends!!! If you grabbed a bookmark, thank you. We sold out. :’) I collected beach stones from the Alameda shoreline and turned them into little adornments for Sam’s new book. Such a sweet collab. My heart is full. by @habibithing

The last time we went to the arcade the photo booth machine was broken in the best way possible - it wouldn’t charge a card, so all the photos were free. Felt rich so I pulled out the LV wallet. I’ve been making some charm necklaces with little pearls embedded inside of aluminum. Still undecided if these will go on my webshop. New things! Coming! by @habibithing

I have a lot to say but for now here are my new sticker sheets of some of my charms for you to play with. @skohabibi grand opening for @kiosko_94 was super cute. Loved meeting everyone in the neighborhood. I lived there for 7 years but still get stunned by San Francisco hills. Came home with a fun hoodie that I probs will not take off for the next two weeks. Support local artists!!! We are all working super hard to express ourselves in this very strange world. by @habibithing

Collaborated with fellow rock enthusiast @samanthaaskye on a book she made with @irrelevantpress. We decided they needed to be adorned with some fancy bookmarks so… ya… I made 20 of them. If I went back in time and told myself I’d end up doing all this I would not believe it. I spend most of my time working with my hands. Sometimes they hurt, or look really rough… but I really think it’s all worth it. Always doing it for lil Raf. Years ago I was in a program to heal my brain and part of the work was printing out a baby photo and making an altar outta it. I should find that someday. Digital altar for now. by @habibithing
