Hello 10K! We thought this would be a fun time to tell you a little more about us!

“Life is boring, it’s your job to make it fun!” Our motto

We began as roommates and sorority sisters in college - both chose the adventure of living in NYC post graduation and then serendipitously both ended up living in Greenwich, CT with our families.

We believe in batching your cocktails, that glasses are better broken than left dusty, that weeknight dinners are special enough for cloth napkins and that date night sitting at your own counter bar can often be the best seat in the house.

In no particular order we are big fans of: boat rides, ladies’ lunches, Yeti cups, freshly polished silver, an ice cold Budweiser every now and then, friendly people, freshly painted nails, collecting cookbooks, espresso drinks, beach days that turn into beach nights, dance parties, Southern mannerisms, British accents, feminine dresses, Bama game day, a good apres ski, laughing at and with each other, and margaritas
any flavor (obvi).

We hope you will plan the party and send out the invites! Formally or in passing.

So, join us here! And ask yourself-How can I bring more fun and celebration into my life!?

We are so glad you are here! Share with someone you want to celebrate, hang, dine with! 📾: @bevyrutledge by @habitualhostess

Every detail of last night’s @mareathebrand event at @graybarns was absolutely stunning. From cocktails beneath a tent draped in gorgeous Marea fabric to the dreamiest tablescape, followed by s’mores and hot cider around the fire pits in our cozy Marea sherpas—we soaked up every bit of it. đŸ€Ž

If you’re local, visit the Marea market at GrayBarns today or tomorrow! And if you’re farther away, you can shop their beautiful new fall collection online.

We had a new neighbor move onto our circle, so I invited some of the gals over for a little cocktails + dessert night so we could all spend some time together.

I wanted to keep things SUPER simple, and I had absolutely no time to make anything. But don’t worry—I didn’t need to!

I grabbed a bunch of little bite-sized desserts from Trader Joe’s—lemon wafer cookies, chocolate-covered pretzels, chocolate-covered cherries, macarons, filled batons—and piled everything onto a three-tiered tower. Never underestimate the power of a three-tiered tower. Somehow she makes everything look chic!

I also put together a little dessert cheeseboard because cheese absolutely belongs at dessert. I added fresh figs and grapes, plus a big bowl of truffle potato chips because there should always be something salty.

For drinks, I set up a self-serve bar with wine, apple cider margaritas, a few nonalcoholic cocktail options, and a big bowl filled with glass bottles of Diet Coke.

The table was beautiful, but it couldn’t have been easier. And that’s exactly the kind of entertaining we love most. You don’t need to cook all day or make everything from scratch to invite people in. Sometimes a few store-bought treats, pretty platters and something delicious to drink are all you need to create an excuse to gatherđŸ’« by @habitualhostess

For this fall cheeseboard, we skipped the lineup of cheeses and crackers and simply filled a platter with all the flavors we’re craving this season: a beautiful Stilton cheese, fresh figs and grapes, prosciutto, truffle potato chips and lemon garlic olives.

Save this fall appetizer idea for your next dinner party, cocktail hour or Thanksgiving gathering. The best cheese boards are really just a collection of things you love to eat.

The last of our four Trader Joe’s dinners is by far the easiest—because it’s really no recipe at all. Dump their frozen meatballs into the slow cooker with a jar of marinara and let it do its thing. When you’re ready for dinner, boil some pasta, spoon those super tender meatballs and sauce over the top, and finish with Parmesan.

The meatballs get so tender, the sauce gets all that extra flavor, and it’s basically the best-case scenario for a night when you have zero time to cook. Your ultimate back-pocket dinner.
