If there’s one thing I hope Monogram Mary teaches the next generation, it’s that you should never be afraid to start something you love. These girls have seen it all. From creating in my garage, to visiting the studio, to celebrating the opening of our first store. Seeing them walk in wearing their MM necklaces was such a full-circle moment.

In a world where we often only see the finished product, I love that these girls have witnessed the journey, the hard work, the little steps, and the big dreams.

I hope one day they’ll look back and remember that every dream starts somewhere, and that they can build something beautiful of their own.

That might just be the most meaningful part of this whole journey. xx something coming soon stay tuned …

One last stop before calling it a night 🤎

After dinner, everyone slipped into Marea sherpa and gathered around the fire for s’mores, hot apple cider, and cocktails. Custom Marea marshmallows, fire pits from @birchlane, and live music by @samwoolfmusic made for a pretty perfect October evening.

Thank you to @roonee_bespoke_celebrations @gatherandlounge @thepopperyny @social.alchemy @wildfigfloral @graybarns and @socialdecor for helping bring it all together and @kt.sura for capturing it all so beautifully 📷

The perfect way to end the night at GrayBarns before welcoming everyone to the Marea Market on Thursday!

LAST NIGHT WAS A DREAM

Last night @fjordfishmarket we hosted a tasting. We showed off and sampled new seasonal sides, bites from our catering menu and the debut of our omakase at home sushi collection!!!

The night was a hit!! Old friends, new friends, neighbors and people brave enough to fight the traffic on 95 were there all night eating and drinking. We hope your stomachs were as full as our hearts.

We had such a good time we may just have to do this again. maybe Brooklyn? Larchmont? Westport? Let us know in the comments who would love a fun seasonal Fjord fish market tasting!!

@vitalfarms | Some things just belong together. 🥓🍳🧀

Crispy bacon, melty cheese, and fluffy Vital Farms eggs, all cooked up with rich, creamy Vital Farms butter and tucked into a perfectly toasted breakfast sammie. 🤤

Two special days welcoming RH Estates to Greenwich. Wednesday night, Mr. Yanks and I were guests at the opening fête benefitting The Brandt Foundation, dinner after with the most divine truffle pizza at Cucina Angelina. Love this fun snap @bfa! Then an intimate lunch with a room full of incredible women, spearheaded by @ebanco. RH Estates, the new luxury home furnishings concept from Restoration Hardware, is stunning. Two looks, two days, all elegant and all worth celebrating.

I recently learned there’s a small window inside tomato season. Ten days, maybe less, when the sugar and the acid hit the exact same note at the exact same time and a tomato stops being a vegetable and starts being the main event.

Last Saturday I spent three hours inside that window, pouring four wines for it at a Tomato Festival in Greenwich.

The wines I chose were surprising to some. We started with a sparkling Barolo, because most people don’t know Barolo makes bubbles - 50% Nebbiolo / 50% Pinot Nero. This paired well with the gazpacho and was a refreshing opener. Then poured a Soave next to the pesto that lets the basil dishes shine. A Provence rosé that met the heirloom tomatoes head on. And a chilled red Beaujolais, a pizza wine, which was one of the best compliments of the night!

I wrote the full article with wines and dishes on substack. For the full pairing breakdown, tasting notes, and all four bottles are up on La Vino Drop now. Comment TOMATO and I’ll send you the link.

This Tomato Basil Tart recipe from the moms behind @habitualhostess is all about tomatoes—the quintessential summer produce star, elevated when paired with fresh basil.

But the best part? It uses refrigerated pie crust so comes together in less than an hour—because summer is not the time to spend hours cooking. Serve it for a meatless weeknight dinner, then have the leftovers the next day for lunch.
