At the Edge AI University Hackathon at @embedded_world_official North America, student teams got hands-on with the Arduino UNO Q, pairing a Linux-capable Qualcomm Dragonwing processor with a real-time microcontroller on one familiar board.

🎥 Hear from Rajan of Qualcomm on why the Qualcomm + Arduino collaboration matters for opening edge AI up to more builders.

🎤 Hear from students on what it was actually like to prototype with the UNO Q under a 13-hour clock

Thanks to @arduino.cc and @qualcomm for putting the UNO Q in the hands of the next generation of engineers 🙌

We brought an Edge AI University Hackathon to the show floor at @embedded_world_official North America in Anaheim, where 12 student teams went from idea to working on-device AI prototype in just over 24hrs.

Huge thanks to our title sponsors @arduino.cc and @qualcomm for putting pro-grade hardware in students’ hands and backing the next generation of embedded engineers 🙌 thanks to supporting sponsors @quilterai and @asususa as well, without partnerships like theirs, this work would not be possible.

All projects can we found on Hackaday.io

Stay tuned, the Edge AI Hackathon is almost here.

Sept 22-23 in Anaheim, university teams go head to head building real-time, on-device AI, live on the show floor at Embedded World North America.

Every team will be developing on the Arduino Uno Q: compact, powerful, and purpose-built for real-time on-device AI, no cloud required. Powered by Qualcomm’s on-device AI engine, this is the hardware student builders will be pushing to its limits all weekend.

Want to watch it happen live? Grab your ticket to Embedded World North America, link in bio.

See you in Anaheim.
