Hi! It’s me! I’m going back to using this account for hair and hair-related things! Of course hair is life, so the 2 accounts will blur a little, but the hair pics will mainly go here, and other stuff will be @kelsbot.

Also, here’s a little about me: I’ve been in the salon industry over half my life and I love hairdressers and clients, and the whole thing is pretty fun sometimes. I have a partner and 2 cats, nieces and nephews and other great family. I’m from the Portland area! I love movies, shows, music, fashion, art, all that stuff. I also like to go places and see things—outdoor stuff and city stuff. Snacks and “food” and coffee and sweets. I care about other people, animals, and the environment.

I like to be well-rounded as a stylist. I like to see the same clients for years and give them a million different styles. I like to take hair classes. I like to talk to my clients and learn stuff from them and make stupid jokes. I like being a small business owner.

I’ll probably go back to taking new clients at some point again, so keep your eyes peeled!

I do feel like it’s important to accept new clients to keep my creativity and skills flowing, but I need to have more flexibility for my regular clients and to manage projects at the salons right now.

So why even post on instagram? To keep a portfolio of my work, support the salon, and provide inspiration pictures.

Days 3 and 4 of @cultandking WEIRDFEST were also super fun for @hairbylor and @hairbot! The last day was just a big party with circus performers, a magician, @ihearsirensmusic played, @lazwicky spun, food carts galore, signature cocktails, a huge frog vehicle, the works! It was amazing! Before that, we had a day of inner work with @jonathantroen that was super enlightening and humbling, in a beautiful venue with a delicious lunch break. We are so grateful to Cult + King for being so generous and accepting us and gathering all these rad hairdressers together. It’s truly a treat for us, and what an amazing company! We’re so lucky they exist. by @hairbot

The first couple days of @cultandking WEIRDFEST for @hairbot and @hairbylor in Park City! Last night we took a gondola up a mountain to a party with all-women Fleetwood Mac cover band @sistersofthemoonslc , the owl Banshee representing @hawkwatch , and met everyone. Today was haircut education day with @mischag , @hairforhumans , and @fringeghoul who were all fabulous, and we got to practice some new techniques. We learned about some upcoming products from Cult + King and got our swag bags! More to come on the rest of the trip! 🖤 by @hairbot

Had so much fun hanging out with my nieces at Enjoy Co, listening to 90s music, and doing their hair ALLLL day long.
