Days 3 and 4 of @cultandking WEIRDFEST were also super fun for @hairbylor and @hairbot! The last day was just a big party with circus performers, a magician, @ihearsirensmusic played, @lazwicky spun, food carts galore, signature cocktails, a huge frog vehicle, the works! It was amazing! Before that, we had a day of inner work with @jonathantroen that was super enlightening and humbling, in a beautiful venue with a delicious lunch break. We are so grateful to Cult + King for being so generous and accepting us and gathering all these rad hairdressers together. It’s truly a treat for us, and what an amazing company! We’re so lucky they exist.

The first couple days of @cultandking WEIRDFEST for @hairbot and @hairbylor in Park City! Last night we took a gondola up a mountain to a party with all-women Fleetwood Mac cover band @sistersofthemoonslc , the owl Banshee representing @hawkwatch , and met everyone. Today was haircut education day with @mischag , @hairforhumans , and @fringeghoul who were all fabulous, and we got to practice some new techniques. We learned about some upcoming products from Cult + King and got our swag bags! More to come on the rest of the trip! 🖤

Lauren and Kelsie are about to head to Park City for @cultandking Weirdfest 2026, so here are some pics from 2024 and 2025! We’re so excited to see everyone, and have a few days of education and fun with this rad company!

Spent the day in Multnomah Village, Mt. Tabor and NE Portland talking to residents and small business owners who want to see the expansion of court programs that aim to stop the cycle of new crimes. As the only candidate in Position 2 who is a judge, I come with eight years of municipal court experience including presiding over a nationally recognized drug treatment court. I also have extensive experience with Oregon's mental health systems, and I developed Beaverton's Behavioral Health Court.
Most new cases filed in Multnomah County Circuit Court are criminal, not civil. It needs judges experienced working with defendants with mental illness and addiction and I can do this from day 1 on the job.

Kelsie believes in the importance of the consultation, listening to your hair goals, setting expectations, and giving styling tips. She’s been in the hair industry since 2000, a stylist since 2005, and salon co-owner since 2017. Likes: movies and shows, pep-talks, music, skin care, pastries and coffee, fashion and style, memoirs, summer, punctuality, trees, nail art, vacations. Kelsie specializes in dimensional blonding and toning, vivid colors, transformational haircuts, short cuts, shags and mullets, bangs, and fine or thin hair.

Malissa is a licensed esthetician with over 20 years experience, specializing in facials, waxing, and natural looking brows. She takes pride in helping run a green salon space, prioritizing sustainability and conservation, using natural products and assuring that her clients have a relaxing experience. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, you can find Malissa on days off hiking, surfing, snowboarding, drawing, basket weaving, on the coast or traveling to remote parts of the world.
