This Nov 30th - Dec 6th we return to the desert!!

If you have ever felt inspired by the music of Desert Blues then this is for you!

Liberation music is a collaboration between myself and local partners, who are musical and cultural experts. In this case Ilyass Rchouk, my long time friend, who recently came second in an international competition with his band Arinass.

We are returning for our third time to stay with our dear friends Tarwa - N- Tiniri (the sons of the desert) an incredible desert blues band quickly becoming one of the best loved bands in morocco for this style.

In those three days we tailor our sessions to you, we welcome all levels of musicianship as well as anybody who has an interest in music and culture.

In previous trips we have hosted, radio dj's, ethno- musicologists, beginner musicians, sound healers, professional musicians and maybe you?
if you wish to learn the cultural context and background that drives this music (after all desert blues is a music of protest) then join us!

We also accomodate for skilled musicians who would like to nurture their craft with a unique, immersive learning experience.

Right now there is a discount active for the first 5 people, which brings us down to 600 for your place.
Food and flights are not included but I am on hand to guide you in booking an affordable flight.

Food is not included simply because it is very affordable and we do not wish to dictate anybody's dietry requirements. Preffering to allow people to find their own preferences and budget.

We conclude our journey at Zamane festival. Staying at the comfortable and traditionally built Brahim lodge at the very edge of the sahara.

Hosted by real nomads who's families. Ay range thoysands of miles into the desert.
Clear nights by the fire as we watch the stars and share traditional music at home or voyaging into the town where one of the greatest cultural festivals in morocco brings the whole town together for an epic party and some world class music.

We're Launching our first trip in Cabo Verde or Cape Verde as the English call it.

We're so happy to be working with @sandro_pimentel_barros
Who is a truly unique educator and musician with so much value to share.

We will also be inviting other local musicians to contribute. Including a day of drumming with Djembe fulla Lamine sarr of @laminesarrdjiembe and other local artists that form the rich tapestry of the music of the island of Sal.

This trip also includes a day trip on a catamaran to really connect to the spirit of the island and the culture of sea faring that has been an ever present part of the life here.

Our recent journey in Senegal was a huge success.

Thanks to our amazing contacts and connections in senegal including Mokollo djembe fulla

We were able to curate an amazing in depth Djembe course for the one and only @frey_the_bard

From almost 0 to 100 he has now grpwn to the point of playing live gigs with the Djembe.

That's the true power of cultural immersion, determination and willingness to learn.

We hope to offer even more with our next journey to Senegal, we are connected to so many great educators.

Not only in Djembe but also dancers, singers, guitarists and Kora players.

We hope you'll join us next February to Senegal so we can make it extra special.
