What an adventure and unexpected plot twist this was!! 😜

Enjoying discovering new corners and communities in Wales. Most recently I made it to beautiful Nevern in Pembrokeshire, where I was due to play alongside @tamadou . However illness had other plans for him!

…Cue heroic stand-in @hakus.music , whose bus duly broke down en route! 🚌😅

Following a couple of local recommendations @jakemadhatter was on the case, and within 3 hours I’d sent him recordings of the tunes, he turned up with a notebook of track-by-track notes, and we were on stage together having literally just met! 🤯

What a pro 💪🏽 and what a lovely gig it was, despite the sprinkles of chaos. A beautiful reminder of what music can do, and what’s possible when you put trust out into the ether, that things have a way of working out 🎶❤️

Huge thanks to everyone in Nevern who came and offered such a warm welcome. Can’t wait to be back ✨

Thanks to @sympatheticsystems for great sound 🎧

This Nov 30th - Dec 6th we return to the desert!!

If you have ever felt inspired by the music of Desert Blues then this is for you!

Liberation music is a collaboration between myself and local partners, who are musical and cultural experts. In this case Ilyass Rchouk, my long time friend, who recently came second in an international competition with his band Arinass.

We are returning for our third time to stay with our dear friends Tarwa - N- Tiniri (the sons of the desert) an incredible desert blues band quickly becoming one of the best loved bands in morocco for this style.

In those three days we tailor our sessions to you, we welcome all levels of musicianship as well as anybody who has an interest in music and culture.

In previous trips we have hosted, radio dj's, ethno- musicologists, beginner musicians, sound healers, professional musicians and maybe you?
if you wish to learn the cultural context and background that drives this music (after all desert blues is a music of protest) then join us!

We also accomodate for skilled musicians who would like to nurture their craft with a unique, immersive learning experience.

Right now there is a discount active for the first 5 people, which brings us down to 600 for your place.
Food and flights are not included but I am on hand to guide you in booking an affordable flight.

Food is not included simply because it is very affordable and we do not wish to dictate anybody's dietry requirements. Preffering to allow people to find their own preferences and budget.

We conclude our journey at Zamane festival. Staying at the comfortable and traditionally built Brahim lodge at the very edge of the sahara.

Hosted by real nomads who's families. Ay range thoysands of miles into the desert.
Clear nights by the fire as we watch the stars and share traditional music at home or voyaging into the town where one of the greatest cultural festivals in morocco brings the whole town together for an epic party and some world class music.

Join us!!!

Message me for any further details or to book your space

You are the artist of your life, make it however you want, from my experience it’s 10,000x more satisfying to choose your own definition of success and let go of the need to prove anything to anyone.

Go visit your mother, Earth 🌍
Give thanks for all of life 🙏🏼
If you’re unsatisfied with the hand you’ve been dealt take it up with God, just make sure you go direct and luss all them false light middle men, go rage at your creator, have a tantrum, then realise it’s up to you now to change your life.

I don’t know what I’m talking about but I love this crazy life so much and since I’ve been staying at @domnuvalley I’ve realised how much I’ve needed open hearted kind and spiritually connected people physically close to me not just through the internet.

Anyway, come join us on the land here in two weeks for a little retreat called ‘Rooted We Rise’ check out @innersagesomatics posts for more info ✨🦋

Bless up yourself! ❤️‍🔥

Ever dreamed of flowers in your hair dancing around the green fields of Glastonbury? Well this dream is real. What a colourful explosive beginning to the Summer it was. Beltane with @celticwheelcollaborations was truley one of the most magical gatherings I've ever had the honour of being a part of.

I was blessed to handfast the Green Man and May Queen. Not only that but to marry an 85 year old lass with her love. Filled my heart with such joy to celebrate Love in such a way. After dancing round the May Pole, they were then carried off by horse and cart. Words cannot describe..
But these pictures definitely do.
@lensfaery again capturing the majesty of the day.

Thank you everyone for this day, I'll never forget it.

Such a vibe and still buzzing! 💚

A few fav clips from the #LizIkambaBand live @tropicalpressure 🔥

Thanks to a gorgeously warm crowd, and all the band as well as extended crew who helped to keep us pepped, prepped and energised throughout, and who managed to capture some of these sweet moments!

Feeling super blessed at the opportunity to play and work with such incredibly talented people, who also happen to be genuinely quite nice human beings! A winning combo I say 🙌🏽☀️
