@legacyracingassociation #dirtrebelution goes down as one of the most intense races we’ve had to date! It might only be 160 miles but with all the tight trees and high speed sections there was no time to settle in. From the start we put the charge on getting a much needed holeshot which started 2 at a time every 2 minutes. We were 4th row. We worked hard for a few passes getting up to the lead guys by lap 2 of 3 but being in the thick dust in the trees we made a couple mistakes having to back out of a couple trees and losing all power sending us hanging off a cliff. On lap 3 we were able to pull into 2nd physical and had a nice gap on 2nd but dealing with lots of brake fade. 3 miles from the finish our fan decided to blow a fuse and overhead the motor after getting that resolved we charged hard for the finish only to come up 12 seconds short on 2nd. All in all it was a great day of racing and a super fun course! Shoutout to @muzzyjustin for calling the course solid all day. It was also nice having the race on a Sunday which allowed us to go help out or good friend @michael.rivera54 and @youngs_rigs at the SNORE caliente race the day before. Always a great time hanging out with everyone!
I really owe it to our amazing pit crew who was able to keep the pit stops times very minimal. This car has never been so dialed in just had a little bad luck on our side. Can’t wait for the next one!! The dust and mud has settled from R2V and just reflecting on what a great weekend we all had in the desert. Although it never seems to fail that something sets us back before the race and this was no exception. From the chase truck having issues and in the dealership the whole time we were in Reno to smashing the trailer into a telephone pole perseverance and stress was at a all-time high we would have never made the start had @jayhale7531 never found the parts we needed in salt lake and @kerryelynn driving them out to us. Huge thanks to @ramon.j.rivera & @michael.rivera54 for pulling my trailer with me and @muzzy9817 to the start barely in time to stage as the truck was getting finished up. As for the race we had a great pace going making plenty of passes until we lost brakes right before pit 1 and didn’t get them fully resolved by pit 5 putting us down about 45 minutes. Thanks to @fourlow for finding the problem in pit 4 and getting them to work for a bit. We had some new blood on the team this time @matthew_delahunty @jake_delahunty & @anaiddelahunty first time ever at an off-road event and they were our only chase guys and they absolutely crushed it! Welcome to the team boys!!
Thanks to @vitalmotionco for helping cover our first few pits for reassurance and @wannabe_wagon & @the_nunnery for taking care our first fuel pit. (Super quick!) Besides losing brakes for the first half we ran a flawless 2nd half coming in 24th out of 62 in class. We had such a blast ripping through the Nevada desert. Final steps of the prep and we can’t forget about one of the most important parts of the car the battery. We only stick to what we know works which is @antigravitybatteries full lithium ATX-30 HD. This battery has a insane power to weight ratio (7 lbs 970 CCR) and holds up through the harshness of desert racing no problem ensuring we get to that finish line with plenty of power! by @hale961

Vegas to Reno the other way is only a week out and cant wait to be back out racing with my friends in a super stacked class (62) as of now! Car is dialed in let’s see what we can do! Nothing compares to the adrenaline rush of a hare and hound start! With my terrible starts I’m caught up right in the middle of the carnage.
