This little mountain town in Colorado has gone all out for spooky season. 🎃⛰️

From giant spiders and skeletons to creepy displays and Halloween decorations, there’s something spooky waiting around every corner.

3 wrong things women are told about strength training.

1. Lifting weights will make you bulky.

This is probably one of the biggest myths that keeps women away from the weights section.

Building a lot of muscle takes years of consistent training, nutrition, and effort. Picking up a dumbbell a few times a week isn’t going to suddenly make you bulky.

2. Women should stick to light weights.

Why?

Our bodies need a reason to maintain and build muscle.

As women get older, maintaining muscle becomes increasingly important for strength, balance, everyday movement and staying physically independent.

You don’t have to lift extremely heavy. But you do need to challenge your muscles.

3. If you want to lose weight, just do cardio.

Cardio is great for your heart and overall fitness.

But strength training gives you something cardio alone can’t: a reason for your body to preserve and build muscle.

And muscle matters.

It supports your bones, helps you stay strong, makes everyday activities easier and becomes especially valuable as we age.

Strength training isn’t about looking bigger.

It’s about making sure your body stays capable, strong and resilient for as long as possible.

Women don’t need to be afraid of getting stronger.
We need more of it.
