Our new single One of a Thousand is out everywhere today. Stream it wherever you get your music!

Two years ago, Hurricane Helene hit us hard. In conversations around town, it was often said that this was a one-in-a-thousand year storm, a singular geological event. Landslides and flooding on a scale never seen before and hopefully never seen again. Still in the same breath, we all seem to agree that we have to treat this as if it’s just one of many. The start of a new chapter.

Thank you for all the streams and donations over the weekend! Y’all are the best. We hope the song can provide a bit of solace in this anniversary as well as some contemplations for the future.

Much love, RW

Hey y’all, we have a new song to share. It's born from Hurricane Helene which tore through our town two years ago this weekend. It is available on bandcamp today (link in bio) and will be released across all digital platforms on Monday.

All proceeds from this weekend's bandcamp sales will go to these organizations. They have been essential in the immediate survival and the ongoing recovery & resilience of our area after the hurricane:

@blueridgepublicradio
@avlgreenworks
@swannanoacommunitiestogether
@manna_foodbank
@belovedasheville

Much love and many thanks 💛,
RW

It’s taken me forever to make this video because it feels like we still aren’t completely done with the house. However, my child is already wreaking havoc on the new cabinets, walls, and baseboards, and I realize that even though the renovation isn’t finished, the house may never look as fresh as it does right now! Justin worked incredibly hard and I’m so so so proud of him. He turned our dream into a reality and I’m in awe of his extensive set of skills. I love living here, it feels like home, and I can’t extend enough gratitude to the people that helped us with this huge venture. We were overwhelmed on too many occasions, and our friends pulled us through. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

My Papa Eade turns 100 years old today!!! He’s my hero. Here he is at 99 3/4; making a full breakfast for nine people while holding a 30lb toddler. It says it all. by @hallianderson

She sang and played and baked and puzzled and giggled and looked at you always with knowing eyes.
Ima Jean, my grandmother, was a woman of faith and devotion, and it’s no surprise that she crossed over shortly after my grandfather. We lost her on Tuesday.
I will remember her as a smiling, generous, clever woman. I will know myself as she named me; “Grandma’s little sweetie.” by @hallianderson
