Five years ago today, I held Halo as she took her last breath. It will always be one of the hardest moments of my life. People often ask why I started Halo. The answer isn’t simply because I loved my dogs. It’s because they changed me. Cairo was my boy. His final paw print became the logo that represents this brand. Halo was my soul dog. She taught me what a once-in-a-lifetime bond feels like…and what it means to have your heart broken when their time on Earth has come to an end, but to also understand it was for something bigger than I might ever understand. When I created Halo, I wanted to turn that pain into purpose. Not only by carrying on their legacy… But by helping others carry on the legacy of the dogs who changed their lives. Because I know how it feels. I know what it’s like to hear the word cancer. To wonder how much time you have left. To question whether it’s time and somehow find the strength to make one of the hardest decisions you’ll ever make. To miss the ordinary moments you’d give anything to have back. The sound of their paws following you around the house. The tail wags at the door. Their presence. To miss being there for their last breath. To be there for their last breath. I know that pain. That’s why Halo exists. Not simply to create apparel, but to help people carry their stories forward. Because every time someone asks about your Halo hat or apparel, you have the chance to share the story of the dog who changed your life. Five years later, I don’t just think about Halo’s story. I think about yours. Thank you for trusting us with your memories and allowing Halo to become a small part of your dog’s legacy. Happy Heavenly Birthday, Halo. The pain of missing you will always be worth the privilege of loving you. #heavenlybirthday #halobrand #greatdane #dog #souldog by @halobrand406

Today we celebrate the women who love their dogs with their whole hearts. The women whose dogs ride shotgun. The women who never go on a walk alone. The women who know that a wagging tail can fix almost anything. The bond between a woman and her dog is something special — built on loyalty, comfort, and unconditional love. To the women whose dogs are part of their story, their routine, and their heart… Happy International Women’s Day. 🐾 #InternationalWomensDay #DogMom #SoulDog #HaloBrand #HonorYourBond by @halobrand406
