back to photos after a break!

halogen’s main program is free photo shoots for Black and Brown trans and gender diverse folks. my work is raising suicide awareness through a philosophical lens: 1) trans is about where the soul feels at home. and 2) suicide prevention lies in the all of moments that add up to a lifetime of a person.

through these photo shoots, i get to capture the soul at home and document the moments that add up to a lifetime of a person.

first look at some rec709 footage for RUNNING FROM / CHASING TOWARDS. day 4 of editing and it feels like a giant hug to watch all the footage again

RUNNING FROM / CHASING TOWARDS is a love letter to identity, ceremony, and critical reflection. this documentary captures the energy of 12 Black and Brown trans artists that spent their formative years in the pandemic and are now fighting to realign their dreams with accessible resources.
