It is about what happens when one human being truly meets another.

Presence. Play. Humour. Courage. Connection.

Sometimes laughter.
Sometimes tears.
Sometimes simply being seen.

Sometimes the best concert hall has no walls

Written, composed and performed by Hamish Struthers Boyd, surrounded by the extraordinary redwoods.

No studio or stage. Just a musician, his autoharp and trees that have been standing here for thousands of years

And tell us: what do you feel when you enter a forest like this?

At 16 years old, I ran away from home with just seven cents in my pocket.

I hitchhiked from Canada to California, chasing adventure with no idea how much that journey would shape the rest of my life.

Big Sur.
Mount Shasta.
The Redwoods.
Sausalito.
San Francisco.

Now, decades later, I’m returning to those same places.

This time, I’m travelling with my wife, sleeping in wild campsites, following intuition instead of a map, and rediscovering the places—and perhaps the person—that first called me there.

Sometimes the greatest adventure isn’t finding somewhere new.

It’s returning with new eyes.

Have you ever gone back to a place that changed your life?

I didn’t ignore that moment once.
I ignored it for years.
That’s how it actually happens.
Not one big decision—
but a series of small ones.
Until something in your life
isn’t fully there.

I haven’t really spoken about this before.
But this is where the book begins.
The night John Lennon died, he came to me in a dream.
He told me to compose music.
I didn’t listen.

Happy Holi.

If this isn’t colour, I don’t know what is.

Don’t fade into beige.
Don’t dim yourself into the background.

You don’t disappear before you die.
You step out in full cinematic colour.

What part of you is ready to be seen?

A quiet turning. A bow to what was.*
Something is gathering in the dark.
I’ve been listening more than writing lately.
Dreams first. Words later.

A book is coming. Slow. Night-lit. Not for skimming.

Christmas keeps teaching me the same thing every year.

Joy isn’t something you perform.
It’s something you fall into.

It lives in singing a little too loudly.
In food made with love instead of precision.
In stories that have been told a hundred times and still make you smile.

When I look back, what I remember most isn’t what we had —
it’s how it felt to be together.

That feeling still finds me, in new ways, with new people, in new places.

If you’re reading this and things look different this year, that’s okay.
Joy has a way of finding us anyway.

Wishing you a Christmas that feels warm, gentle, and full in all the right ways.🎄✨

Robert Redford. Blonde hair, blue eyes. Actor. Rebel. Trailblazer.

I feel him close. Because I too have walked some of his steps. I played Paul Bratter in Barefoot in the Park. I was cast in The Legend of Butch and Sundance. Our paths touched, almost like echoes.

But beyond the roles, what I feel most is his spirit — the daring, the wit, the insistence on stories that matter.

That’s what I carry forward. My art, my music, my stories — all for humankind.

Farewell, Robert Redford. Your vibration is still here. And I will keep it alive.
