Happy Easter from me and my shelter bestie, Sylvie. I was her babysitter 5 years ago when she was in foster with my friend @markie.campbell. She was adopted soon after. 5 years and two kids later, they returned her to the shelter two weeks ago. She was terrified, shaking like a leaf. She’s doing better now, but I’d sure love to see her in a foster or truly forever home. All she wants is a ball and her person. And some water to splash in would be a bonus. bit.ly/sylvie-cac taken in LifeLine Animal Project by @hammacher

Happy 10th Gotcha Day to my soul dog, ride or die, best girl Ginny. Still puppy like at 11, best tester of dog sociability, bestie to even the most obnoxious foster siblings (looking at you Hazey and Otto), absolute BFF to Sable and just the embodiment of joy. She also started me on my volunteering path. Wish we could have 10 more years! taken in Tucker, Georgia by @hammacher

Another Monday, another day of Sable smushing Ginny’s head. (Still have an empty bed next to this one.) taken in Tucker, Georgia by @hammacher

One of my favorite mementos from our time in Canada, where Remembrance Day is a somber, almost holy observance. Thank you to all who serve. taken in Tucker, Georgia by @hammacher
