I haven't posted my stitching in some time, still stitching, just a little slack with posting.
I am packing to head to Sydney on a girls weekend for the Needlework Press and Stacy Nash workshop and thought I would take this sweet little needle roll that I finished sometime ago. It is called Flower Pot Needle Roll by La D Da. Mine is stitched on 40count which makes it just the cutest little handful and perfect for your project bag or winterbury case.
I did change a few of the DMC colours, added my own hand dyed velvet ribbon, some antique buttons from my stash, shell thread rings and lined it with some reproduction fabric.
The linen is my False Starter.
I sold out of kits at our Spring Stitchers Gathering but have more available in the shop now. (link in bio)
Just thought it was too cute not to share and proof that I'm still stitching, even if not as quickly or as much as I would like.

Hubby had a big birthday this year and wanted to celebrate that big birthday with a ride in a hot air balloon. This morning was an absolutely glorious morning to do just that and of course I couldn't let him do it alone.
What a lovely serene experience floating 5000m above the stunning scenery of the Gold Coast hinterland whilst watching the sun emerge for the day through the clouds and mist.
Followed off by breakfast at the beach, a wander at the beach side markets and park before heading back to Brisbane.
I can certainly recommend @balloonaloft if you are in the Gold Coast area on holidays 😀 Thank you Ben our pilot for a wonderful ride in Pinkie one of the biggest balloons in the world 🌎 and a super smooth landing! by @handmadeatnumber12

Exchange gifts - I stitched the @sew.be Betsy Rose Bag with some additions to the back for an added Spring flavour. This was an enjoyable project that also took me out of my comfort zone. 6 strands of DMC and no "holes" in the gingham was quite a challenge for me but being able to stitch without magnification was a treat.
I believe kits are still available for this pouch.
I received this darling little Home Sweet Home pin pillow from Margaret and a lovely magnetised wooden needle keeper. Thanks Margaret, I love them both🧡
Exchanges are always fun, in my next post I will share some of the other gifts exchanged 😍

Back to day 2, had a little pause in between posts, sorry about that.
Spring Songbird Sampler was unveiled after lunch. The palette and subject matter oozing Spring was well received with ooohs and aaahhs.
Madeleine Aubineau, an antique French sampler from my collection was Leona's inspiration for this sampler. Madeleine used silks, Leona using Madelines colours, but in DMC'S bought the darling motifs to life again in a special format, that makes us all want to stitch it.
Of course there were kits, project bags (didn't get a picture of them, they sold out too quick) and bling with motifs from the sampler.
And there was still so much more of day 2, stay tuned😂

Day 2 Toowoomba Spring Stitchers Gathering, the attendees arrived to a cute teapot with Lindt chocolate balls inside and the third exclusive design for the retreat, this one from the lovely Vickie at @needleworkpress (thank you Vickie 😊)
Little Fanny Forresters sampler was then unveiled with a reading of the poem that inspired Fanny back in 1835. This little sampler from my collection, with its super sweet stitched verse inspired the whole weekends theme of a tea party with friends 🧡 ( thank you Fanny)
Leona reproduced her into charted form and I stitched her on 40ct Old Lace from Number12StitchCo with Cascade House silks. Fanny's sampler bought lots of joy and laughter to the room🤭.
There were kits and of course bling !
We also had a flea market, (see video) with lots of bargains, linens, velvets, trims, charts, antique treasures from my collection and loads more.
There were give aways galore and a raffle draw. We raised money for CareFlight, the winners being delighted with their prizes.
And that was all before lunch😂

As promised, I am posting snippets from our fabulous Toowoomba Spring Stitchers Gathering that took place this past weekend.
I have reposted others snippets as I have seen them so I hope you have enjoyed them.
Day one, I worked all morning setting up Number12StitchCo while Bronwyn, Leona and Coleen prepared the tables with vintage china, beautiful goodies bags and a gorgeous exclusive kit from Kimberly Nugent of Samplers Not Forgotten called Wild Rose.
Thank you Kimberly for this gorgeous design, many stitchers had it finished by the end of the retreat 🩷
The prompt for Friday was Hats off to Spring and many participants let their imagination go wild and created fabulous Spring headware with the winner being voted for by the participants. We all settled in for a scrumptious high tea and an afternoon of inspiration, friendship, stitching and shopping.
Lisa Zimmerman @quillisa had a beautiful pop up shop full of handmade project bags, stitching rolls, portfolios etc
It was so good to welcome old and new stitching friends and participants to this year's Gathering.

As you may know, I am taking my shop to the Toowoomba Spring Stitchers Gathering which let me tell you is no small undertaking😂
I will be closing my Etsy shop at 10am AES on Thursday, when last orders will be filled. We will then be are packing cars and heading to the venue.
We hope to be back up and running by Wednesday the 9th September but I will keep you posted here should that alter in any way.
I have been asked if anyone can pop into the retreat venue to shop and the answer is NO.
All attendees signed up to enjoy a whole exclusive weekend of stitching, fun, frivolity and shopping.
I will be back next week and as happy as ever to help anyone who couldn't make it with any questions or orders.
I am on a promise to provide photos of the retreat and will do my very best to keep that promise.😁
Thanks for your continued support and understanding.

Yippee, Spring is here!!! 3 more sleeps till the Toowoomba Spring Stitchers Gathering 🥳
Toowoomba's beautiful gardens are bursting into flower and are such a delight to stroll around at this time of year. A mild winter and the very hard working gardener's have the parks looking so beautiful already and promise to only improve over the next few weeks!
Anyone travelling to Toowoomba for the Spring Stitchers Gathering at the end of the week, I wish you safe travels and definitely recommend a visit to a least one of our beautiful gardens when you arrive.

The Nood Collection has been very popular and I would like to thank everyone who has purchased, posted feedback, sent me an Etsy or Instagram note or posted photos their happy mail and shared. 💞
I still have a few packs left in all counts including 46ct and various counts left in the single colours. This weekend is the last weekend for ordering custom larger pieces that I will dye in the coming week. I can't believe how quickly July has flown by.
There will be no limited edition colours or pack for August but stay tuned for the next release.
