At Hand Of We work with ‘at-risk’ children, in particular those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), English as an Additional Language (EAL), and children from disadvantaged backgrounds (Pupil Premium Grant, PPG). We believe every child should be given the chance to develop and grow into the smart young person that they can be – full of ideas, able and keen to rise to challenges!

Coastal Explorations 2026!

These snaps were taken by secondary school students from the North East, who enjoyed exploring the art of analogue photography! 📷

At various locations along the North East coastline, students gathered photographs, sketches, historic research and inspiration that fed into the creation of two incredible art-films.

These films were showcased earlier this summer at a fully booked preview event at @tynesidecinema !

HUGE congratulations to all the students involved for all their hard work! 🎉

Many people never get the chance to experience this incredible view - and it never ceases to inspire us! ✨

On a recent project, we worked with a brilliant group of secondary school students and the amazing team at @newcastletheatreroyal

Together, the students developed, performed and filmed their own performance, along with an origional soundtrack - all within the space of just one day!!

An unforgettable evening!!

The Number Nine Concert Series #3 was a huge success — thank you to everyone who came and absolutely packed the room with support for our brilliant young artists. 💛

We were amazed with the array of performances, including singing solos and duets, piano, guitar, and even a game concept showcase. 🎮

The night ended with a debut performance from our NEW choir, Nine Voices, with a joyus rendition of Julius Eastman's 'Stay On It' !

We CANNOT WAIT till the next one!! ✋

So much care, teamwork, festive joy and DIY spirit at Hand Of's Christmas concert last night, with a beautiful performance from my dream choir Nine Voices 🎄

And yes, we clashed with Matt Baker at the Glasshouse, but I'm sure he'd forgive us for the debut performance of a new alternative choir across the Tyne! 🪄 STAY ON IT. taken in Hand Of by @handofevents
