About Harriet Horner

Harriet Horner is a London-based artist working primarily with oil on canvas. She graduated with an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art in 2025.

Her practice explores psychological tension through fragmented and obscured imagery that moves between revelation and concealment. Drawing on historical references, cinema, folklore, and devotional imagery, Horner creates atmospheric compositions shaped by memory, desire, fear, and subconscious associations. Recurring elements such as masks, armour, and theatrical costumes become symbols of protection and performance, while techniques of cropping, layering, and fading evoke moments suspended between presence and disappearance. Her works reflect on the instability of identity and the anticipation of something about to emerge or be revealed.

Chungha Lim
Stage With a Hole Under the Tree, 2019
Oil on canvas
160 x 274 cm

_

About the work:
Stage With a Hole Under the Tree is a pivotal work within the Coonga Studio series, in which the artist dredges fragments of lived reality and preserves them permanently within a constructed, virtual soundstage. The heavy theatrical curtains framing the scene and the cutaway architectural structures quietly reveal that this nocturnal clearing is not a natural terrain, but an engineered proscenium.

Across this shadowy stage, multiple spotlights wander as though searching for a missing presence. Yet, the deep, excavated hole beneath the largest tree remains completely untouched by the light - a perpetual shadow deliberately evading capture. Because these preserved moments originate from deeply intimate and turning-point personal events, the staged space-time maintains an impenetrable secrecy, enveloped in a quiet and suspended stillness. by @handson.projects

About Chungha Lim

Chungha Lim (Coonga) is a Seoul-based artist working across painting, installation, curating, and performance. She graduated with a BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2018.

Her practice explores the relationship between memory, architectural spaces, and Korean folklore, drawing on ancestral traditions and personal experiences. Through painting, site-responsive installations, and performance, Lim constructs spaces that preserve and reinterpret individual and collective narratives. Incorporating traditional craft techniques and the symbolic language of Korean Dancheong, she transforms inherited rituals, memories, and acts of wish-making into contemporary mythologies, reflecting on the relationship between space, identity, and the human desire to preserve moments in time.

Skin I, 2026
Giclée print on hahnemühle paper, mulberry silk fabric, wooden frame
61 x 45 cm

Skin II, 2026
Giclée print on hahnemühle paper, mulberry silk fabric, wooden frame
61 x 45 cm

_

About the works:
In Skin I and II human skin textures and the forms of silkworm moths interweave within the fabric. These images are mounted on silk. Silk, as the central element of the work, points to the “product” refined from civilisation and elegance. Meanwhile, the hands of labours reveal the often-hidden costs embedded in the evolution of civilisation. By juxtaposing hands, silkworms, and silk, the work re-aligns production, life, and the body, to reconstruct a symbiotic relationship between human and non-human. by @handson.projects

너의 메아리-Your Echo, 2025
Oil on wood
40.6 x 30.5 cm

_

About the works:
Your Echo is a series that traces a journey to uncover the stories of women who have been forgotten or erased from history. Following the traces of light they left behind, the work brings their silenced voices and memories back into view. Through this process, their stories emerge not as something lost to the past, but as echoes that continue to resonate in the present. by @handson.projects

About Yannie Yiyang Gu

Yannie Yiyang Gu is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City. She holds an MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts.

Her practice explores the search for love as a source of strength, spiritual belonging, and human connection within a world defined by impermanence. Drawing on Buddhist art and teachings, literature, poetry, and personal memory, Gu moves between abstraction and representation to create luminous landscapes shaped by devotion, longing, and intimacy. Recurring motifs such as flames, lotuses, butterflies, and hands become symbols of fleeting emotional states, while expressive mark-making, erasure, and layering allow her works to reflect on the fragility of human relationships.

About William Lowry

William Lowry (b. 2001) is a London-based artist working across printmaking, drawing, sculpture, and installation. He holds an MFA in Fine Art with Distinction from the Slade School of Fine Art and a First Class BFA from the Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford.

His practice draws on devotional objects and apocalyptic image traditions to explore the relationship between private feeling, mythology, and public iconography. Working with etched copper plates alongside painted and drawn surfaces, Lowry creates time-ambiguous landscapes in which anonymous figures, monumental architecture, illumination, and catastrophe coexist. His sculptures and installations extend this visual language through structures inspired by altarpieces and reliquaries, reflecting on protection, display, ritual, and memory.
