Ponad 200 kobiet w Rwandzie. Jedna maskotka, każda robiona ręcznie.

Handspun Hope w północnej Rwandzie zatrudnia ponad 200 kobiet, wiele z nich to ocalałe z ludobójstwa. Robią ręcznie filcowane rzeźby i przędzę z wełny Merino od własnego stada. 
Dostają uczciwe wynagrodzenie, ubezpieczenie zdrowotne dla rodziny, wsparcie psychologiczne i opiekę nad dziećmi.
Razem tworzymy limitowaną serię maskotek: 100 sztuk w roku, każda numerowana, z certyfikatem.

🇬🇧 Over 200 women in Rwanda. One mascot, every single one made by hand.

Handspun Hope employs over 200 women in northern Rwanda. Many of them are genocide survivors. They hand-felt sculptures and spin yarn from naturally dyed Merino wool, shorn from their own flock.

They earn fair wages and get family health insurance, counselling and childcare. Together we are creating a limited series of mascots: 100 a year, each individually numbered and certified. by @handspunhope

This is our new Granny Square Tote, created from sustainable raffia by women in the Central Highlands of Madagascar. Each bag requires 128 hours of labor, which helps provide the artisan with a living wage. No two bags are alike.

Exclusively custom-created for Hope Artisan Collective and now available online.

We are certified members of the Fair Trade Federation.

Collaboration instead of competition - this is
what the strength of our Consortium is built on.

Handspun Hope @handspunhope supports women who have experienced homelessness, illness, hunger and other forms of trauma every day. By offering not only employment, but also psychological and medical support, as well as genuine care for their personal growth, the organization helps women regain hope and build a new future.

It is through partnerships like these that we can
expand the reach of our work and create a meaningful impact in people’s lives far beyond our own borders. Because the essence of philanthropy is collaboration, not competition.

At the Philanthropic Consortium, we believe that empowering women strengthens entire communities.

One of the initiatives we proudly support is Handspun Hope, working with women in northern Rwanda, many of whom are survivors of genocide or have experienced deep trauma and economic hardship.

Through craftsmanship and collaboration, over 200 women create handcrafted sculptures and yarn from naturally dyed Merino wool, turning traditional skills into sustainable income and independence.

The programme goes far beyond employment, providing fair wages, healthcare, counselling and childcare, support that helps women rebuild their lives and create stability for their families.

Together, we are creating a limited series of handcrafted mascots, each unique and individually numbered, symbolising hope, resilience and partnership.

Because when women rise, communities grow stronger.
