New finish! “Perpetual Becoming” 30x35 Improv nine-patch started in @sherrilynnwood class. My first time using #baptistfanquilting and I like its rhythmic curves.

When I saw that Baltimore City was sponsoring a quilting competition I knew I wanted to enter. I chose to honor restaurants, past and present, that held personal memories. I used #rubystarsociety selvedge letters and hand quilted the white spaces. Unfortunately my quilt was not chosen. 52 quilts were submitted and only 15 were chosen.

Thanks @homagetobaltimorequilts for this great opportunity for Baltimore quilters. The opening of the show is Saturday June 6 at the Current Space Gallery from 6-9pm

Road Trip 48” x 49”. The compilation of stripes, wedges, triangles, dots, crosses and quarter circles all made in response to improv prompts at my quilt guild meetings. Thanks to @dawnfp1248 for leading the effort.

Summer Joy - 31”x37” I love responding to the seasons, and summer made me pull my flowered fabrics and make something. I got a bit carried away with the hand quilting/embroidery, but the textures and colors say JOY.
