#8 in the world at the Women’s Decathlon World Championships 🌎

To think that I would still be competing after graduating college and starting my first year of medical school is crazy. I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to keep doing the sport that I love with all of my heart.

This year has come with a lot of changes, ups and downs, and figuring out new ways to train and compete, but I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.

I was able to come away from this championship with 2 Women’s Decathlon American Records in the 100m and 400m, 3 personal records, and an 8th-place finish in the world.

It couldn’t have been possible without the help from multiple coaches continuing to work with me, believe in me, and help me navigate this season. I’m also so thankful for my family, friends, and everyone else who has supported me and stayed in my corner through all of it.

Christ has truly blessed me with such incredible people in my life, and I cannot express enough how amazing it has been to compete for God’s glory and be strengthened through Him.

There were definitely times when balancing training, school, and everything in between felt a little chaotic, so being able to finish the season like this means a lot.

Very thankful for this season, proud of how far I’ve come, and excited to see what’s next.

Hannah Hill is a 2025 NCAA DII First-Team All-American who holds the Conference Carolinas heptathlon record and school records in nine events. This August, she takes on her first decathlon.

Off the track, she's a medical student training to become an ophthalmologist. "I hope to show medical students that you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it."

Why the decathlon? "It takes another level of grit to compete in 10 events over two days. I always admire a challenge, and I love pushing myself harder and harder to see what I can accomplish."

Ten events. Two days. She's here to fight for the title. 🇺🇸
