King of Canterbury round 2

Qualifying - P8
Only got 2 qualifying laps before I crashed in dipper so was pretty happy to qualify 8th. Luckily it was just a lowside, and only minor damage to the bike and myself, so I was able to fix the bike and continue racing for the day.

Race 1 - P3
Perfect weather conditions. The track was dry, warm, and the sun was out.
After a very bizarre race start where the flaggy was still on the track when the start lights went out which caused half the grid to hesitate (myself included), I came out the first corner in 4th place. I then worked my way up to 2nd which I held for a couple laps before being passed by another Ryder. I couldn’t quite get back past him before the checkered flag, but in my attempt to do so I put down a new PB and got the fastest lap of the race at 1:44.376.
Crossed the finish line P3.

Race 2 - P9
Got a decent launch but failed to stay locked in and lost a few positions during the last couple laps. A lack of sleep and food definitely caught up with me during the afternoon races. I know from the earlier race that I have the pace to be battling up the front, so it’s something to work on for next round.

Race 3 - P9
Another P9 to finish off the day. Not quite what I was hoping for in the afternoon races, but plenty to take away and work on for the next round.

Huge thanks to Ari and Jack for fixing my bike and getting it ready for me while I was getting checked by the medics.
And thanks to the commentators for the kind words!

This helmet was way too cool not to have a matching livery to go with it😝 @ls2helmetsanz

So much time spent designing, prepping, and wrapping the bike! Huge thank you to @dynamitesigns for providing me with the workspace and tools I needed to get the job done. Couldn’t have it looking this good without their help, really appreciate the support and having the setup to bring my ideas to life.

King of Canterbury round 1

Qualifying - Q5
The track was cold and wet for qualifying so I decided to play it somewhat cautious with the main priority being keeping the bike on two wheels. Went out on slicks and with very little grip, Qualified 5th.
Race 1 - 6 laps - P4
By the time the first race came around the track had fully dried up and it was a bit warmer. Extreme winds brought a new challenge, and nearly every braking marker had changed. I spent most of the race switching positions with one other rider, battling for 4th place. I managed to just pass them over the line by 0.001 seconds and placed 4th.
Race 2 - 8 laps - P10
Struggled to stay consistent with the extreme winds, and being an 8 lap race it was very exhausting fighting the wind. Main takeaway from this race was that I need to work more on my fitness.
Race 3 - 5 laps - P7
Got a terrible launch, one rider got very close to my front wheel before turn 1 which spooked me and I let off the throttle a little (big mistake). As a result of this I ended up letting about half the grid get ahead of me. Was a good opportunity to practice my passing, and I managed to gain a lot of the positions back and crossed the finish line P7.

Huge thanks to all the flag marshall’s, officials, photographers, supporters, and everyone else that helps out behind the scenes to put together such a great event despite the extreme weather conditions.
Thanks to Terry casey, Tony Knights, and @biancarose.photo for the photos.
And thanks to my sponsors

Huge thank you to Dynamite Signage Solutions for sponsoring my new LS2 Thunder GP Aero race helmet!

You won’t miss this one out on the track!
Really appreciate Dynamite supporting my racing and helping me out with the new helmet. So stoked to have them involved!

There might even be a matching look for the bike coming soon… 👀

Bears round 1

Qualifying - Q1
Went out on a very worn out pair of bridgestone slicks (12 race days old). The track was damp and there was very little grip but I managed to qualify first.

Race 1 - 4 laps - P3
Race 1, got an average launch as my rear brake stopped working. Held second place for the entire race until catching up to lapped traffic mid way through the final lap, and got passed while trying to get around them. Crossed the finish line P3.

Race 2 - 4 laps - P4

Shoutout to the single pair of tires that got me through an entire season 🙏
and thanks to my lil bro for the clips

King of Canterbury round 4

New PB!!🥰

Qual: Q7
Race 1: P8
Race 2: P6
Race 3: P5

Qualifying:
It was raining very lightly in the morning for qualifying. I went out with slicks on and the track was obviously very slippery. I decided to play it extra cautious and got a 1:57 which put me 7th on the grid out of 17.

Conditions were cold but dry for all 3 races.

The last race I started strong with a 1:51.001 standing. I managed to stick with the front group for the first couple of laps, before making a mistake and running wide in the sweeper which lost me 2 places. In the final lap I put down a new Pb of 1:45.798 and crossed the finish line P5.

Massive thank you to everyone that helped out and especially to those who set my bike up for me for my last race while I was busy with the medics.
And of course Terry Casey Photography for the sick photo. by @hannah.racing

Sound of Thunder 2026
Bears kindly offered me the use of their club bike for the weekend, a completely stock KTM RC390. It was my first time racing anything other than my Yamaha R3, so it was a great opportunity to experience something different. The stock suspension definitely presented a few challenges, but it also taught me a lot about adapting my riding style. Even so, I kept pushing and got it down to a 1:48.

One of the highlights of the weekend was spending a few laps chasing a two stroke with a GoPro mounted on the back, which captured some awesome close-up footage of the racing.

To improve as fast as possible I decided it would be best to do every race event I could. Bears introduced a sport 400 class so I started that as early as I could which happened to be round 3. Since it was my first season and I could only attend 4/6 of the rounds I wasn’t expecting to get any good results in the championship, I just entered them to get as much track time as possible. I ended up finishing 3rd overall in the championship and even picked up the “Most Spectacular Looking Bike” award. by @hannah.racing

MCI King of Canterbury Round 1 at Ruapuna was my first race meeting. Before the event, I had only completed one MCI “Have a Go” day on this bike, so I was still getting familiar with it. I started the day strongly, setting a new personal best of 1:49.920 in the first 300 Supersport race. A couple of laps later, however, I found the bike’s lean angle limit and lowsided in the left hander before Carousel. I was glad to get this out the way early, and have (at this stage) only lowsided once since. by @hannah.racing
