KOC 4

The day started out abit wet, so qualifying was pretty slow and kinda scary as the track was a bit slick. I took it easy and did a 1.57 which put me in 8th on the grid
Race 1 was not good for me. I started out with a good launch and then got to 4th gear and the shifter got jammed, which meant I fell back off the start. Then throughout the race, I would make up some time but then kept making silly shifting mistakes going into corners, meaning I was hitting the corners in a gear too high, so I kept losing the time that I made up. I finished in 9th
Race 2 was a bit better but had a bad start, which meant I got stuck behind some people for most of the race. When I finally got past them I made up some time and got a PB of 1.45.4 so I knew I had the pace for the next race and finished 7th
Race 3, I finally got a good start and got to the front group and actually stayed with them for a while and felt like I was riding well the whole race. I got another new PB of 1.45.0, which I was super happy with as I know I’m starting to get towards the pace of the front group, and finished in 4th
Overall, a good day. I made some progress, but I personally think I could’ve done better. I still can’t wait to get back into it in a few months for the new season
