Yote 25K with @jennmc65 was AMAZING! 🐺⛰️

We were lucky enough to spend most of the race running alongside the fabulous and hilarious Sabrina Gardner, which was especially helpful considering the course seemed to be approximately 3% trail and 97% hill.

Up a hill. Down a hill. Around a corner to discover — surprise! — another hill.

At some point, it became less “Running Up That Hill” and more “How do we make a deal with God to make this course a bit more flat?” 😂

But y'all know me and know that I LOOOOVE elevation, so this race was my jam and an absolute blast. Beautiful trails, lots of laughs, great company, and the best aid station snacks.

@runfluent_fulwise, you put on a hell of a race! 💛

10/10 would Yote again.

Yesterday, my grandma Sue, my Nanny, passed away after 66 years of marriage to my Papaw.

She was a sweet, selfless woman. The kind of person whose love wasn't loud or attention-seeking, but steady and constant. She was a quiet force that shaped our family.

It is impossible to separate my story from hers. Her choices, her sacrifices, her love, and her strength made their way through generations and ultimately made their way to me. Because she lived, my dad lived. Because he lived, I live. The life I have today, the people I love, the home Chris and I have built, and the future still ahead of us all trace back, in some way, to her.

I am so grateful Chris and I were able to sit with her earlier this week and say goodbye. Those final moments feel especially precious now.

My heart is broken for my Papaw, my dad, and our entire family. But as I have witnessed how my parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins have come together in love and teamwork, I've realized that while my heart is broken, it is broken in a way that lets the light in.

What a gift it is to be part of the family that my Nanny helped create.

Her life was a thread woven through all of ours, and though that thread has slipped from our hands, its pattern remains everywhere we look.

I will miss you deeply, Nanny. Give Aunt Diana a big hug from all of us.

I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to have received a nomination for The Greater Columbus Sports Commission Community Champion Award! 💙👟✨️ The running and walking community in Central Ohio holds a special place in my heart, and I'm grateful for the work I do every day to bring people together, inspire others through movement, and create spaces where everyone belongs. A link to vote is in my bio. I would be honored to receive your support! 🙏

Hannah McCorkle is the Director of Marathoners in Training (MIT) at Fleet Feet Columbus, where she leads one of the region’s most impactful and uplifting community running programs. She’s deeply passionate about creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where runners and walkers of all backgrounds feel supported, celebrated and capable of more than they ever imagined. Guided by her belief that every pace has a place, Hannah brings contagious energy and heart to helping people surprise themselves, from their very first mile to their 100th finish line.

She leads with the conviction that we already have everything we need within us to achieve big things, that we are made of all the right stuff exactly as we are, and worthy of the goals we chase. That belief comes to life in every workout or event she leads as she fosters a community rooted in encouragement, accountability and connection. She’s inspired by the human stories behind the sport—the small wins, the big breakthroughs and everything in between—and is committed to helping people change their lives one mile at a time while building a Columbus running community that feels joyful, accessible and rooted in true belonging. by @hannahstansel

Happy 39th birthday to my favorite human 🤍✨ What. A. Year. Together we somehow squeezed in 3 ultras, 4 marathons, and more halfs than I can even count… all while hopping across 4 countries, you starting a new job, us getting married (!!), and buying our first home.

I don’t know how we packed so much life into one year, but doing it all with you has been my favorite adventure yet.

Here’s to stepping into your 40th year hand in hand. I'm so excited for whatever this next chapter brings, wherever we end up running (literally and figuratively). What should we get into next!?

Love you so much, Chris 🤍🏃‍♂️🌍🎉
