Our October schedule is officially set and will remain fixed throughout the entire month, so save this post and you’re good to go! If there’s any new schedule in the future, we’ll update you immediately — no need to worry. ❤️

And here’s some even better news: after a long fight for fair competition, with the involvement of the authorities, the cafés using confusingly similar names such as 1990 (without the S) and 1900s have finally agreed to change to completely new names with no connection to ours. We won’t mention their new names here — we simply wish them well with their own businesses.

What matters is that there is now only ONE Hanoi 1990s Original — Since 2019 — here to welcome you. 🤎

To avoid any confusion, look for our signature details: brown uniforms with Hanoi 1990s name tags, wooden menus, the only shortcut entrance at 210 Le Duan, and Lily’s WhatsApp booking: +84 934 050 191.

OUR STORY ❤️

Hi, I’m Lily — founder of The Original Hanoi 1990s • Since 2019.

People often ask why I chose the name Hanoi 1990s.

The answer is simple.

I was born in Hanoi in 1990. This city is my childhood, my memories, and my home. This café has never been just a business. It is where I grew up, where I still live, and where I have watched Train Street change over the years.

That is why I named my café Hanoi 1990s in 2019—not because it was trendy, but because it is part of who I am.

On July 1st, 2019, my mother and I opened a tiny café with only five tables.

No investors.

No advertising.

No paid promotions.

Just the two of us and a dream.

Everything we have today has been built through genuine hospitality, honesty, and the kindness of our guests.

COVID forced us to close, but when we reopened in 2022, thousands of travelers chose to support us.

Our reputation was never bought.

It was earned.

As our café became more well known, several nearby cafés began copying our identity—similar names, similar signs, similar colours, similar branding, and now even a name that differs by only a single letter.

Sadly, many visitors have been misled into thinking they were visiting us.

So we’d simply like to make one thing clear.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Due to the heavy rain and flooding in recent days, some passenger trains have been temporarily suspended or cancelled. The situation is expected to affect 18–19 September only, and the weather has now improved.

⭐ If possible, we highly recommend moving your booking to a time marked ⭐, as these are the departure trains and currently the most reliable for timing.

Please save this schedule before visiting The Original HANOI 1990S so you can plan your trip and arrive at least 30 minutes before your chosen train time.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ THE WARNING BOARD CAREFULLY

Unfortunately, there are several fake cafés around Train Street using names that are very similar to ours to confuse visitors. Many tourists have accidentally entered the wrong café and ended up paying much higher prices or being asked for tips.

To avoid being scammed, please take a moment to check the information on the warning board before sitting down:

✅ The correct café name: The Original HANOI 1990S (with “S”)
✅ Our staff wear the official HANOI 1990S uniforms.
✅ Our wooden menu and café sign match the photos shown.
✅ Our only shortcut entrance is 210 Le Duan.
A few seconds of checking can save you from a disappointing experience.
