POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I can’t believe I was here one week ago ✨🚂

I saw multiple reels on Insta saying how busy #HanoiTrainStreet can get since it’s a popular tourist spot. I’m so glad we got to experience it in much calmer, more relaxed setting at #Hanoi1990sTrainCoffee where we could take our pictures and enjoy our drinks without stress.

✩ Train Street Thrill in Hanoi

Would you sit this close to a moving train? I did.
And let me tell you — it was one of the most surreal, adrenaline-fuelled coffees I’ve ever had.

Train Street in Hanoi is exactly what it sounds like: a narrow lane with cafés, locals, and tourists — all sitting just inches from an active railway line.

The train doesn’t slow down. There are no barriers. One minute you’re sipping your coffee, the next you’re backing up as a train thunders past.

I went to Hanoi 1990 coffee shop.
Check times of trains and reserve a table before your visit.

Would you have a coffee here?

Proof that adventure doesn’t have an age limit.

☕️ A little coffee, a lot of wandering, and a heart full of gratitude.

📷 Started my day at Train Street with brunch and a Vietnamese coffee, wondered around the stunning Old Quarter,

☕️ Afternoon coffee at The Note Cafe and a trip to the Incense Village (more on that in another post) are just a few of the things I got up to in Hanoi

maybe it was the train passing just inches away, a little too close, a little too fast.
or the salted caramel coffee in a tiny cafe i’d never been in,
surrounded by strangers in a country i didn’t know,
speaking a language i couldn’t understand.
and yet, when the train passed for the first time, we all felt it.
that same thump of excitement.
we laughed, looked around, held our breath for a few seconds.
we understood each other.
strangers, but somehow not!
-A🫧

[hanoi, vietnam, train street cafe, salted caramel coffee, vietnam travel experience, cafe hopping vietnam, travel storytelling, local cafe culture, asia travel, slow travel, train café hanoi] A girl sits at a small café table on Hanoi’s famous Train Street, sipping salted caramel iced coffee. A train passes just inches away, blurring past the narrow lane. Her hair blows gently in the wind. Around her, curious strangers—locals and tourists—share a moment of awe and thrill. Urban setting with railway tracks running through a residential neighborhood, vibrant yet minimal.

Living a dream straight out of my vision board 🚂✨
There are moments in life that feel like scenes from a movie and this was one of them. Sitting at the edge of Train Street in Hanoi, feeling the rumble of the train just inches away, I couldn’t help but smile at how far I’ve come.

Thank you @hanoi1990s cafe for making this experience so seamless from reserving us the perfect seat to sharing the train schedule with such care. You helped turn a long-held dream into reality. Grateful for this unforgettable memory 🌸

To anyone reading this keep that photo on your vision board. Keep that crazy dream in your journal. Because one day, it won’t just be a thought it’ll be your reality.🫶

The most famous coconut coffee ☕️ in a quiet Hanoi cafe.
And here’s what it made even more special, it was my first cup of coffee in over a month. I hadn’t had any since Rishikesh. This sip tasted like freedom, like a new beginning…. 🤍

Top 3 things to remember #WhenInHanoi:
🚦 Crosswalks are a game of trust.
☕️ Egg Coffee is an acquired taste - but a love language nonetheless.
🪑 The shorter the stool, the better the food. Find a table on the sidewalk and EAT.

Thank me later. 👋🏻

📍Quán Ngan Cháy Tỏi (the short stool reminder - applied here!)
📍Train Street - bucketlist check ☑️
📍Uniqlo’s Flagship Store in Hoan Kiem Lake
📍Bún Chả Đắc Kim - the Michelin-selected dish made known by Obama & Bourdain 🫶🏻
📍St. Joseph Cathedral
📍Café Giảng’s Viral Egg Coffee - a must!
📍Vincom Mega Mall Royal City - where the upper class resides 😂
📍Old Quarter Foodtrip (remember my short stool note above? - read it again!)
📍Nhà Spa - TikTok viral for a reason, go for the two-hour package!
🦮The cutest doggo outside our airbnb! 🥹

If Hanoi is in human form and this trip was our first date, will definitely go for a second one. The city is not cut out for one-night stands. 🤭
