Double Bay’s newest edition @ca.phe.mai a Vietnamese cafe by day and wine bar by night. The venue has been “four generations in the making”, says Cindy Mai and Ed Loveday, the team behind it, with generations of knowledge, skill and recipes being showcased here. I can safely say, the dishes here blew me away and were such unique, fresh and mouthwatering flavours. And it has to be one of the best coffees in town… if there’s ever a line here, just know it’s worth the wait 🍜🥢 by @happyhour.hotline

Perched on a quiet corner in Stanmore you’ll find @ardsydney_. Expect a line, but know it’s worth the wait and once the doors open it is an extremely seamless and impressive process 🤍 The energy inside the bakery and the team was so relaxing and calm which really set the tone. You’re faced with absolute works of art of baked goods and an extensive drinks list to choose from and look, you can’t go wrong. Everything I tried was so light but of course packed with incredible flavours 🍰 The spinach triangle was, I quote “life changing” and did you know, everything in there is plant-based?! They’re making the vegan diet look and taste great. It’s a bakery I’ll be heading back to 🫶🏼 by @happyhour.hotline

When it’s a walk-in only restaurant you know you’re already off to a good start and when there is a line, it’s worth the wait. @johnnyvinceandsamsristorante truly blew me away and fixed my Sunday scaries. It transports you to a nonna’s house, old school, cosy, comforting and you know you’re going to be well fed 🍝 It is classic Italian done right (no BS, no fluff) think big servings, al dente pasta with homemade sauce, fresh produce that isn’t over seasoned or messed with, and pizza with generous toppings. If there is one meal I haven’t stopped thinking about since my trip to Melbourne, it’s this one. Please come to Sydney 🤌🏼 by @happyhour.hotline

Darlinghurst has scored a new cafe from the one and only @meccacoffee ☕️ Their flagship store can be described as moody, earthy and calming and also “one of Sydney’s best-designed cafes”. Every time I head into a Mecca cafe the service is without a doubt so friendly and you’re always well looked after, whether taking your coffee to-go or sitting in for a catch-up with friends, and the coffee is 10/10 🤎
