I had to share this with you because listen—I know a $300 sweater is an investment.

This was a 15 minute conversation I had with a potential customer after I happened to press record for another video I was making.

We talked through all of her hesitancies—and it turned out after this conversation she came back, because what she really wanted deep down was a custom piece I don’t already offer. And I am absolutely happy to make that for her!

Did she buy the sweater on the spot? No, and I 100% understand that! If it was me, I would need to think about it too.

That’s why I’ve decided to offer free returns on all pieces on my website. If you live far from me and won’t have an opportunity to try things on, I don’t want you to miss out on the chance to own a Happy Thought piece.

Last month this video changed my life.

Moms, moms-to-be, and friends of moms-to-be bought a treasured gift to celebrate motherhood.

Women celebrated themselves for their birthdays, their anniversaries, and just for fun.

So many people chose to buy small and because of that, I had a record sales month and was able to pay for home repairs.

I want to keep this going!

Here’s my soapbox:

Buying yourself a handmade cardigan from a small, woman-owned business is kind of an act of resistance right now. It’s sustainable, eco-friendly and good for your health to wear natural fibers, and the purchase creates zero waste as I use every single piece and snippet of yarn in some way during the process.

I’m just so sick of living in this world of billionaires, of men dominating women’s industries like fashion, of forcing and shoving our way through to be seen as human and not disposable. I want to be an artist and make this business sustainable so I can live the life I want to lead, and help my husband support our family.

Even buying the $7 pattern to make your own means so much to me.
