I-40 out 💜 Mix & Co Production

Hudson and Co have taught me so much about deep collaboration and creative integrity. Making this song with them was profound.

@thehuddog : writer, producer and creative mentor to me.
@ephmcf : producer arranger multi-instrumentalist and soul and captain of the ship.
@parm.a.sean : guitar. So much beautiful rage in that solo.
@d1ctatoroftaste incredible writer and high aura vocalist
@chase.elodia those drums are the entire vibe.
@aholmusic is a CRACKED engineer and bassist . I learned a lot from working on his recordings and realized we’re both super nerds.

Man what a spot of luck I got to mix this awesome set of songs for @thehuddog over the course of a couple long and awesome Saturday’s at my little @jameslandstudio.

The whole team was so gracious and relaxed for the process. Whenever I checked with Hudson if somethjng was too weird, distorted or tape warbled he’d be like ‘oh no, can we do more?’ 💜. Thanks everyone for letting me play around in your mighty sounds!

@mattfoxband asked me to mix this gem of a record. Genuinely love this collection of songs. Simple direct clearly based off single performances and crystallized song writing. I’d work on these late night with the light out and tape running. So cool getting to work on the kinds of music I’d be looking to discover as a listener. by @harperjamesx

Honor to mix the launch of @maddieregent’s new project. Maddie is the genuine article as a writer and performer and aesthetic curator — @cade.hoppe and I had a blast on the livestream dialing in the perfect balance together on his productions and drinking coffee on opposite coasts. Cade is gonna become the go to producer indie pop producer in LA so hit him up before he’s too busy to see you (he prob already is) —

Thomas and I decided we had one day a song to turn his 12 artfully constructed demos into records. No idea what to expect but fuck it turned out cool — @foreignsaints_ you really should go just peruse this library of vignettes aptly named — ‘magnolia’ — not sure if it’d after the movie the cupcakes or something someone else by @harperjamesx
