I’ve always found it interesting that the periods where I feel healthiest rarely look the most ‘optimised’

They usually look something like this.

Training because I enjoy it. Eating good food. Sleeping well. Spending time outside. Having enough space to actually recover.

It’s easy to convince yourself that better health is hiding behind another protocol, another supplement, another metric to track.

But I don’t think it is.

I think most of us already know what good health looks like. The hurdle is creating a life where those things happen consistently enough to matter.

Maybe that’s the irony.

The healthier you become, the less health has to occupy your mind. You stop chasing it, get on with living, and keep building the life you’ve always dreamed of. by @harsh_sr

Most people manage their health with surprisingly little information.

At Legacy Health, we start by building a complete picture.

Advanced blood work.
DEXA body composition analysis.
Sleep and recovery data.
Fitness testing.

Then we use that information to build a personalised strategy for your nutrition, training, recovery, and long-term health.

Private, high-touch health advisory for people who want their body to support the life they’re building.

Client capacity is limited.

A Manager at Lloyds Banking Group came to me with three challenges:

• 14 years away from the gym
• A carb-heavy vegetarian diet
• A neck injury that led to weakness and pain in his left arm

From day one, we focused on rebuilding strength, improving nutrition, and creating a training plan that worked around his injury.

Over the course of the service we worked on:

• A tailored vegetarian nutrition plan
• Progressive strength training to rebuild the arm
• Reducing long-standing aches and pains
• Building sustainable habits for the long term

By the end of the program, his strength improved significantly and the pain had reduced.

Always great working with professionals who decide to take their health seriously.

Discussing health online has become more polarising than ever.

You’ve got the ancestral/carnivore (Liver King) end of the internet steak, eggs, sunlight, lift heavy things, stop overthinking everything

Then the other side is tracking absolutely everything (Bryan Johnson). IV drips, CGMs, HRV, sleep scores, cold plunges, supplement stacks, protocols on protocols.

I get both.

I’m obviously very pro data because you can’t just go off how you feel. You can feel completely fine and still have things going on that you’d never pick up without testing.

But equally I don’t think the end goal is to become better and better at tracking yourself.

That feels like missing the point slightly.

The useful bit is knowing where you are, knowing what’s off, fixing what actually needs fixing, then building a life that makes good health easier to maintain.

More movement without having to schedule it.
Better food without obsessing over every gram.
Actually sleeping properly.
Being outside.
Having good people around you.
Being physically capable.

The numbers matter.

But they’re there to help you build the life.

Not become the life. by @harsh_sr

I’ve become less interested in how much stress someone is under.

And far more interested in how well they recover from it.

That’s why I find heart rate variability (HRV) so interesting.

It’s one of the best windows we have into the nervous system. Not because a single number determines your health, but because it tells you whether your body is adapting to the demands you’re placing on it.

The goal was never to eliminate stress.

Training is stress.
Building a business is stress.
Raising a family is stress.

The goal is to build a body that knows how to come back from it.

To me, that’s what resilience looks like.

And over the long term, I think that’s what health looks like too. by @harsh_sr

I’ve always thought of training as building capacity.

The capacity to lift. To run. To jump. To move well. To do the things your body was designed to do.

Those abilities don’t stick around on their own.

Your body adapts to the demands you place on it. If you regularly ask it to do something, it becomes better at doing it. If you stop, over time it lets those capabilities go.

That’s why training matters.

You’re giving your body a reason to keep building and maintaining the abilities that allow you to live well, not just today, but decades from now.

For me, that’s what exercise has always been about. by @harsh_sr

Last week I was invited to run a health masterclass for teams at Lloyds Banking Group.

One of the biggest takeaways:

We’ve built a billion-dollar industry around making health feel complicated.

New protocols.
New supplements.
New “hacks”.
New optimisation trends.

Yet most people still haven’t mastered the fundamentals:

Sleep.
Movement.
Muscle mass.
Nutrition.
Stress management.

At Legacy Health, we use diagnostics, bloodwork and data not to overcomplicate health, but to create clarity.

Because most people don’t need more complexity.

They need better awareness, better systems, and consistent execution of the basics.

The fundamentals are still the highest ROI interventions for long-term performance, energy and health. by @harsh_sr

The health industry has given us something incredible:

Visibility.

For the first time in history, we can track our sleep, recovery, body composition, blood markers, glucose responses and more.

That’s a good thing.

But I’ve noticed an interesting shift.

Some people are becoming so focused on managing their health that health itself becomes another source of stress.

Another dashboard.

Another score.

Another thing to optimise.

The irony is that many of the tools designed to create more awareness can end up creating more noise when they’re not interpreted properly.

I don’t think the answer is ignoring the data.

I think the answer is remembering what the data is actually for.

Not judgement.

Awareness.

Not obsession.

Better decisions.

Because the goal of health isn’t to become the full-time manager of your own biology.

It’s to build enough energy, resilience and capacity that you can go and live a bigger life.

What are your thoughts? by @harsh_sr

You can look healthy and still be carrying dangerous levels of visceral fat.

This is the fat stored around your organs, not the fat you can pinch in the mirror.

High visceral fat is linked to heart disease, insulin resistance, poor metabolic health, and reduced longevity.

A DEXA scan reveals exactly what’s going on beneath the surface.

Because when it comes to your health, what you don’t know can hurt you.

That’s why diagnostics are the first step inside the Legacy Health system. by @harsh_sr

Most people don’t overeat because of carbohydrates.

They overeat because they underestimate fat.

Fat contains 9 calories per gram, compared with 4 calories per gram for protein and carbohydrates. That means small additions like oils, butter, dressings, cheese, nuts and sauces can quietly double the calories in a meal without making it feel much bigger.

Your body can store excess calories from any macronutrient as body fat.

But dietary fat is particularly efficient to store because it already arrives in a form that’s very similar to body fat, so the body requires relatively little energy to deposit it into fat stores. Carbohydrates and protein can also become body fat when calories are consistently excessive, but that pathway is less direct.

This doesn’t mean fat is “bad.”

Healthy fats are essential for hormone production, brain function and absorbing fat-soluble vitamins.

It simply means that if your goal is to reduce body fat and improve your physique, being aware of how much fat you’re eating often makes creating a calorie deficit much easier.

Before blaming your metabolism, look at the oils, sauces, snacks and handfuls of nuts that never get counted.

The fundamentals still win. by @harsh_sr

The conversation around longevity has become obsessed with optimisation.

Which supplement should I take?
Which peptide should I inject?
Which IV drip is worth trying?

But most people are trying to optimise a body that hasn’t mastered the fundamentals.

The problem isn’t that people don’t know sleep, nutrition, movement and recovery matter.

It’s that they don’t know which fundamentals they need to fix first, how to personalise them, or how to turn them into a system that actually fits their physiology and lifestyle.

That’s where Legacy Health is different.

We don’t guess. We measure.

Using advanced diagnostics and evidence-based medicine, we identify what’s actually limiting your health and performance, then build a personalised system across sleep, nutrition, training, recovery and targeted supplementation.

Health isn’t built through hacks but by putting the right foundations in the right order.

That’s what Legacy Health is designed to do. by @harsh_sr
