“If I have seen further, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants" - Sir Isaac Newton.

The distinction of ‘liberal vs traditional’, of ‘progressive vs conservative’ is a false dichotomy, arising from the arbitrarily constructed notion of ‘modernity’. Just think, how quickly do we label or dismiss ‘the old’ as having outdated ideas?

Civilisations that have stood the test of time contain values and teachings that can guide us. Aside from history books or artwork, it is our elders who carry some of these hidden insights. They carry a wisdom that no amount of reading, education or technology can replace. They inform us of our enduring values. Creativity without values is just vanity.

Spend just half an hour with an elder - see what emerges for you.

Innovation has been seen as the fountain of human endeavour. From the printing press which revolutionised the democratisation and spread of knowledge, to antibiotics which provided a giant leap to medicine, disruptive innovation accelerated the frontiers of what is possible. There is no doubt that Covid-19 has accelerated technological innovation, but is that enough? Harsha explores why more than technological advancement, we need an innovation in governance.

Look back to an amazing and uplifting day at London Zone Jāgruti: The Modern Day Hindu, in Wembley. 😊🤓 It was an experience filled with various activities, from traditional bhajans and the Hanumān Chālisā 🎤🎹🙏🏽 (with a bit of Garba too 😯), to a journey of self-discovery within the four yogas of Bhakti, Jñāna, Karma and Rāja, realising that there are #ManyPathsOneGoal. 🤔🕉
